Intrigue

I think taking pretty pictures is nice, but it's also fun taking interesting pictures, ones that are intriguing and unusual.  My friend, Jeanie, at The Marmelade Gypsy reminded me of this just by taking her unique and wonderful photos.   So, here are a mix of both lovely and intriguing things I've seen around here in April.

At the public library

Take time just for yourself
once in awhile.

At the trail

Friendly lady at Starbucks

Have we seen the last
of the rain in
northern California?

Inside my church -
the stained glass flames
represent the seven virtues.

At the rose garden

Nel knows I love Starbucks,
and sent me a gift card,
just because.
My gnome makes me happy
just looking at him.

Speaking of unusual pictures,
Nel's husband, Renecke,
played around
and made this picture of
their dog, Ozzie.
They really do treat him like a king.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Good Afternoon Sheri, You are absolutely right, we really should just stop, take a breath and think a little more about ourselves.
The photographs you shared are lovely. I had to smile when I saw the photograph of your daughter's dog Ozzie all dressed up in uniform.... the things we can do with computers nowadays is amazing.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Best Wishes
Daphne

Sheri, these are interesting and intriguing and also captivating! Each one makes me wonder about the rest of the story there. I'm sure a short story could grow from each of them.

Have a good weekend,
Dewena

Beautiful pics. Loving the flowers for sure and all the color they bring to our word in the spring. Thanks for sharing these.

Oh, these photos really did make me smile, Sheri! A good reminder to look at life with a new perspective, sometimes! Love the shot of the turkey from behind. (I think it is a turkey, but I'm not sure :) The tattoo is fun, too. My favorite is the lavender. So pretty! Although, the half-eaten cookie had the most effect on me.....now I have to go find something sweet! Sending hugs and wishes for a lovely weekend! xo Karen

Thank you for the shout-out, Sheri! Your photos make me smile, and big! I love those flowers in the first one -- the purple ones. They aren't familiar to me. And your rear end turkey gave me a big grin! And the Ozzie photo really made me laugh! Delightful!

You are so right about taking time for yourself. I'm so glad you did this -- and hope you do it rather a lot and share them with us!

The best photos are ones that tell a story, and these do Sheri. Simple, everyday things that often go unnoticed are truly worth stopping and taking notice, and in the right hands, are elevated to an art form. You have a knack for that!

Sheri, I almost missed some posts here. I loved the pictures. I love that your daughter got you your favorite Starbucks gift card. That gnome is cute. My son in law loves those things. There's an old movie, French I think. It's call Amelie...the cutest young girl. Her father had gnomes and I think she kid napped one. LOL A bit racy , some scenes...but just sweet mostly. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
