Chocolate Bunny

This last weekend was a busy one.  Jess came into town and we did some shopping.  She loves to shop here cause there's not many places to shop where she lives.  She bought a pair of shoes at DSW, and this cute purse at Charming Charlie.

She brought me this French looking bottle that I've always admired in her house.  I love perfume and decorative bottles, and I liked this bottle just for its pretty design.

Gave me a chocolate bunny also.  I put this bridge out every Easter because it reminds me of a bridge that my kids used to play on at the park when they were little.  They would use their imagination with leprechauns and hidden treasures along the bridge.  : )

Went to a fundraiser Saturday, one that is dear to me.

Have you ever had hot cross buns?  My father loved them, so I buy them at the store every year at Easter time.  They're kind of expensive, but so worth it.

Yes, a busy busy weekend.

Sheri, I like the bottle and bunny your sweet girl gave you. :) I have never had those buns and I may have to look for some this week. I like trying things I have never eaten , don't you? But then we know there will be things we will never touch. LOL. I don't eat cooked spinach. I do not want to eat crazy things...no chocolate cover crickets for me..no never. You are so cute enjoying time with friends at the fundraiser. I think you are the age of my daughters. Blessings to you. xoxo, love, Susie

Such a nice weekend with your daughter, Sheri. You two are adorable together! Have you tried making hot cross buns? It's a process, but very gratifying. I love the French bottle--so nice of Jess to buy it for you! The little bridge is so cute and filled with great memories. Now, is the chocolate bunny going to make it to Easter? Have a wonderful afternoon. ♥

Good Afternoon Sheri, What a lovely gift.... the perfume bottle is so lovely and the purse is perfect for the summer time.
I remember the shop DSW, because when my daughter lived in Atlanta, she took me to DSW. I was amazed at how huge the shop was and the range of shoes which were on offer. I bought a flat pair of pumps and a pair of summer shoes. In fact I still wear them.
Being English, I love hot cross buns and funnily enough, I just sent some across the water to our friends who live in New York, along with English crumpets. They are thrilled to pieces to have received them. I will be buying ours next week, ready for the Easter holiday. Now should I buy the ones with sultanas in or chocolate chips.... oooh what a decision. I'll let George decide.
It has been lovely catching up with you.
Best Wishes
Daphne

Such a precious photo of you and your daughter. You are both beautiful. I've never tasted the buns but they sure look delicious. The chocolate bunny and the bridge paired together is very sweet. It won't be long til Easter now. Our dogwoods are in full bloom now. Always a joy to visit with you here. xoxo

Hi Sheri,
My husband makes our Hot Cross Buns! Did your father make them himself? We love them as well and I am so happy to have this tradition for the boys.

I enjoyed your post.
Love, Carla

The buns and the choc bunny look great. Glad your daughter (assuming) was able to visit and you gals had a nice time. Charming Charlie's is an amazing place! I pretty much stay away from there these days since I retired, way too many necklaces and earrings as it is. Beautiful purse, my fav color, purple! Have a great rest of the weekend.
