A Quiet Peaceful Road

With all the wedding preparations going on, I thought I'd take a break and take a drive in the country to Penryn and Newcastle.  Here are some pics along the way going there and back.

My resting stop, always.

What a lovely drive, Sheri. The road less traveled is always the preferred one. I love the little bird baths and the pretty morning glories. I hope you are not too frazzled with all the planning and preparations. Getting away for a little while can refresh our souls. Enjoy your weekend. ♥

What an interesting drive Sheri. I looked up Penryn on Google maps and see it is quite to the north in California. The Portuguese hall was a surprise - we usually associate the Spanish culture with the western states of the USA. You spotted some lovely antiques, and I am hoping you bought the peacock/lady dish, which is gorgeous (says me who would have bought it in a flash!). The little angel is also so sweet. Good luck with all your wedding preparations, and Happy Sunday. xx

Thanks so much for taking me along on this beautiful drive with you. Your photo's are beautiful.

I'm leaving tomorrow to go up to my son's for my Birthday and return home on Wednesday. We will be looking for a Mobile Home for me on the beach in Aptos or Santa Cruz, which should be good for my COPD.

I know that you have a big day coming up with the wedding. Do't over do in this heat and hopefully it will cool off for the wedding and reception. Have a wonderful time. I know that it will be beautiful and looking forward to seeing the pictures.

Hugs,
Mary

Good idea to take a drive on a quiet road! It helps putting your thoughts and feelings in order towards the big day of the wedding. The sights along this road soothe and relax the mind and soul.

I believe the road less traveled on IS a beautiful one, sometimes even more beautiful. That shows me that there are still some untouched places in the world as well as some untouched, uncorrupted hearts. May we all stay fresh of spirit and innocent of heart once we've traveled new roads only to come back even more child-like,but even wiser!

A lovely country road my dear.

It is always a pleasure to pop in to read your lovely passages, see what wonderful adventure you've to share, and view your marvelous photographs. Having lived in the Paradise, CA area, your photo's are reminiscent of my time spent there. I love the history of CA and the Griffith Quarry is one I remember visiting when I was young. Thanks so much for sharing you and your life with us.

Hello dear Sheri, Scott and I were just over that way on Sunday for a family lunch at Wise Villa and winery. We took a drive through some of these same lovely roads. You always remind me of my childhood in neighboring Loomis. We are neighbors of the heart, for sure. We are back from Italy and Paris and I'm just settling into the new world of retirement and my new chapters.
Happy summer, lovely!

Oh Sheri, I think it's going to be a fabulous wedding. That peach drink sounds great. Hope your daughter is enjoying Georgia. I have a couple of dear friends who live there.

When is the wedding?

Oh Sheri, thanks for your visits. I love them. Hugs Susan
