Today's Your Lucky Day

I was driving through Starbucks recently and ordered my usual, and while I was waiting in line I thought to myself, "oh no, I left my card at home.   Well, I'll just ask them if I can come back later and pay."  After all, I'm a regular, and they know me.  When I got up to the window I said to the woman,  "I left my card at home," and she said to me,  "today's your lucky day, cause the guy in front of you paid for yours, and he said to have a nice day."  I smiled and was relieved.  I thought about how total strangers can be so nice at times, and that I've had my coffee paid for a lot lately.  So, I wanted to return the favor, and today I paid for the person in back of me.  Sometimes it's the pleasant strangers in your life who bring the most joy.

These are the flowers
I see when I'm
waiting in line to get
my coffee.

I hope today will be your
lucky day.

This is a delightful thing, for people to do. :-)

And how nice, to see wild flowers, while waiting in line at Starbucks.

Paying it forward! What a wonderful surprise! I remember I was on the Oakland Bay Bridge and someone paid my fee across the bridge, it made me smile that morning going to work! Thanks for the inspiration.
I'll pay it forward for someone today too ♥
Hugs,
Jody

Hi Sheri, So nice when people are kind. I always kept a little coin purse in my console for coffee, at our coffee shop. I miss that place...the man that owned it passed away. I think that flower is lavender..so pretty. Blessings to you for a great Sunday. xoxo, love, Susie

That's so nice and it's a shame that people don't do more kindness. Kudos to you my sweet friend. Enjoy your week. xo

Doesn't that restore your faith in mankind (or womankind)? LOL Such a small thing that can make a person's day.

I love it every time I read a story like this! Isn't it wonderful that this practice has spread. And maybe the person you paid for behind you really needed it that day to lift their spirit.
