Pink Bedroom

I've been busy getting things ready for Jess' shower, and that means doing things around the house as well.  I redid one of the bedrooms in pink, and my computer is in this room also, so it's a pleasant space for me to spend time in.  I started out with a comforter that I found at Target with pink roses.

I wanted soft pink colors, not bright.

Vintage purse my sister gave me.  You can place cards in it also.

I thought this pink rose hook was so pretty,

and dangling from the hook is this vintage tag.

This sits on my dresser and is a gentle reminder to me each day.

This pink doily my grandmother crocheted.  I use it as a coaster for my hot drinks while I visit my favorite blogs.

It's the only thing I have that belonged to my grandmother.

This is a small painting that Violet from Create Beauty painted.  She is such a talented artist.  It reminds me of my girls.

That's about all I've done so far in my pink room.  But it's coming along and will be ready for the shower that Jess will be having this summer.

Sheri, I love the touches of pink. Your grandmother's doily is a wonderful keepsake. I like to think, she loves that you use it and maybe think of her. That painting is so sweet too. I have a picture of four little girls hugging on the beach, it reminds me of my girls.:) Blessings, xoxo, love you, Susie

Pretty in pink room. You could see your love in every detail, dear friend.
Thank you for stopping by to let me know you visited my instagram. I had personal photographs up until yesterday, but you know I prefer a bit more privacy with those, so I updated my page and removed them. The photos I wrote about originally, the link I removed, was referring to pictures of me and my children taken this past Sunday. It was a beautiful day.
Love Violet's painting.
Do tell us all about Jess' shower. I know it will be lovely.
Love and blessings.

I don't have much of my grandmothers either so I do treasure the few I have. Your soft pink things are sweet and feminine and I'm sure do help you to remember to "be still and know that I am God." One of my favorites but sometimes so hard to put into practice, isn't it?

I love your pink and all the pretty things that make it come alive. I really love pink but I'm a red fan also. I have red in just about every room including the kitchen. It's a dark red, not to bold or bright. hugs, xo

I too my friend, prefer the light shades of colors. With either no color or faded hues, I feel more at peace.

We need peace in our world. I am reminded here with you that there is a gentler world but it's too bad we are so far from each other. How I wish I could meet you!

Love all your sweet items of friendship here, and I too have a beautiful painting of the sea by our dear Violet.

Pink is my second favorite color. :-)

I am happy you have the doily from your grandmother. That is special. I have one similar from a friend of my mothers. She passed away from cancer at a very young age, so it is special to me.

I think the painting is lovely.

You started out with wonderful inspiration! That comforter is beautiful with its feminine subtle flowers.

I have very little from my grandmother also. Just her sewing machine actually, and all I have from my mother is the necklace she wore on her wedding day.

I really like all the accessories you chose. When I was a teen, my Aunt Lucy had a pink room with a pink princess phone. I was so envious. I know you are enjoying this time.

I love the charm this pink enchanting room has. Soft satin ballerina pink was my favorite color as a young girl. This room indeed would be a tranquil place to travel the internet in. I took a lot of pics on Sunday and will post them when I get a chance.

I love pink and I have added some to my bathroom.
Little vases with roses, a soap dish with petite pink soaps.
Your room is lovely Sheri, and how very special to have some of your sweet Grandmother's treasures. They are truly the best aren't they?
With love,
Jemma
