It's Pouring Today

It's raining hard
here today.
We've had a lot of
rain lately in California,
and we sure need
every bit of it.
(all the pics were taken from
inside my car.  That's how
hard the rain was coming down.)

They're still building
homes in my neighborhood.
But not today.

So thankful for shelter.

Sweet Sheri, I am so glad you are getting some rain! And it looks so pretty trickling down the windows.

Stay warm and dry, sweet friend. Love to you!

That looks like a cold rain but it's great when it's needed. We could use some here in this part of Florida too....but not today I hope! Hugs!

Sheri, I adore the rainy day pictures. I know all of California needs rain...but now in moderation, in some areas. We are freezing here Sheri. The snow is coming in tonight late. We may get about 1-3 inches ...because of this cold it will last too. I am thankful for a nice home too. The street people of Indy have been going to the shelters these past few evenings. Wish we had more places. First of all who would be a street person in a cold area...not me girl. ...if I had to live on the streets , it would have to be a warmer place than Indiana. Blessings to you and yours, love you, xoxo,Susie

I'm so happy you are getting the much needed rain in California, Sheri! Your photos tell quite a story. We are experiencing a very cold day and predictions of snow for the weekend. Some folks would rather get rain, but I'm still a kid about the snow. Enjoy a cozy afternoon! ♥

It must be wonderful, to have rain. But not so much fun, on the other side. You need it. But it's rather depressing. And damp. And wet. Let's not forget 'wet'! ,-)))

Get yourself in and stay in. Watch it fall. It's quite lovely, dripping down a window. And think of how happy the land is, to drink it in.

Gentle hugs...

I absolutely love your rain photos, Sheri!!! Here in Montreal it is very cold, -25, I think, and the winds are very strong, too!

God knows we need and LOVE to be cocooned in our places of respite. And on a chilly, raining day, there's nothing better than a cozy chair, a fire, a cup of tea, a book, a nap. Enjoy it all my friend!

For a long time I had no car and cycling was my way of transport . cycling in the rain well I did that for many many many years . Each day to work and to my home . It's very dutch .
NOW however I do have a car and and I do not work anymore .....

Re: Your comment in my blog...

"Also, I wanted to tell you, I love the change to the pop-up comments. It's so much easier to comment, and wish more of my blog friends had it. :)"

Why don't you do a post, saying this? :-)

Bet lots of gals don't even know what kind of comment setting, they have, on their blogs. And if this was pointed out to them, they might check. And change to the pop-up.

Which is the most convenient way to set our comments. :-)

Gentle hugs...

Great photos dear Sherс! There are so cozy pictures of rain from the protected warm room. I love the rain, of course, not the one who brings bad luck to people. I love the one that refreshes, makes the grass green and the flowers makes Te bloom and the fields are harvested.

Glory be to God for the rain you are getting Sheri. That is truly a blessing for your State as I heard you had some few months of drought.
Doesn't that feel refreshing when the rains come? It's invigorating and renewing to see those big drops of pure liquid joy hitting the grounds, the soil and every parts of the trees and plants.
Apologies for not visiting often enough. I hope you are having a good week, and also happy new year to you too.

Hugs,
Aida

I always think there is something nice about being behind a window and watching the rain ...
We've had it quite cold with some frosty days, but I don't mind those sort of days, wrap up warm and enjoy a walk.

Do hope your week is going well

All the best Jan

Hello Sheri

Aah, you've captured such lovely photos of the rain.
I've tried many times to do the same but they've never been very good!
Where I live in New Zealand it's Summer and a long hot one at that!
We've had a few rainy days which I enjoy as my garden is parched and soaks each and every luscious drop up.
We all need life-giving water to survive so I don't mind the rain - even in Summer!

I read a few posts back and see you have a wedding to plan - now that's exciting!
Following you now so I'll be back soon.
Warm hugs
Shane
