Ruby told Virginia
Virginia told Missy
Missy told Gwen
Gwen told Dolly
Dolly told Fran
Fran told Sally,
And it got straight
back to Paige.
Paige was very sad,
especially because
what was said
wasn't even true. :(
Gossip.....
it's an ugly thing.
And it can hurt
many people.
(The names are just random ones I thought of).

So true, dear Sheri! Gossip is a dangerous game! Blessings to you! ♥
And what Frans and Dollies fail to see is that listening makes them a gossiper too.
Great post and pics, huckleberry friend.

hm. this happened in blogdom fairly recently .. :(
Sheri,
Gossip is shared between shallow personalities and those with jealousy. Far more important things in life to enjoy than engage in negativity.
xoxo,
Vera
Lovely weekend love from me Ria x ❤️
Beautiful photos! I have been a victim of nasty rumors in the past, gossip is always hurtful!!!
Have a great weekend!!

Beautiful photo's and how true. Gossip is terrible, if you can't say something nice, don't say ANYTHING!
Have a great weekend Sheri
Hugs, dear friend
Mary
Oh so true!
You are so right Sheri, so hurtful! I love how the birds of paradise seem to be looking like mean girls "spreading the gossip" ha ha, ! Happy Friday…
XOXO Mary
Have a great day
Sheri, This is so true. Gossip is cruel. Those pretty birds seem to be spreading rumors. LOL Wishing you a wonderful weekend. Blessings to all, Love you, Susie
So true, Sheri. Why do people want to tear others down? The photos are perfect to illustrate your thought! Have a wonderful weekend.
You could not have picked better members of the floral group to illustrate this piercing little homily, Sheri. I've always thought they were nasty little things.
Dear Sheri,
So true, and unkind when people gossip.
The bird of Paradise do have the air and look of someone being a little catty.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend
hugs
Carolyn
Lovely photo, Sheri. And I agree, gossip is NOT so lovely. Sheri, thanks for all your sweet visits and comments on my blog. You are the best and sweetest lady. Susan
Oh, this made me laugh because of your clever photos, but yes, gossip is very destructive. If you can't say anything nice, say nothing at all. Hugs xo Karen
Gossip is indeed ugly but your Bird of paradise is gorgeous and I can see that the sun is shining.

Oh how true, how very, very true.....may I keep my mouth SHUT in everyday circumstances. And your birds of paradise bring back so many memories. My parents had these unusual plants in both of our home gardens (L.A. and then Pico Rivera)......
Sweet Sheri, how are you?
Good morning dear Sheri,
Gossip is such an ugly way to spend one's time...
Love the bird of paradise, and good choice for the gossip circle... It seems to fit.
Have a great weekend.
blessings,
Penny
True! Words can hurt so bad .. we have always to think about what we say :)
Thank you so much for the Blog-Link in your Side Bar ♡ ,happy Weekend Sheri!
Oh- I hope you or your loved ones have not been the subject of gossip, Sheri. It is a horrible thing to deal with. xo Diana
Yes this is true, it can cause so much damage. The photos go perfectly with your thoughts.
True...and I have a true story about gossip and how it hurt our family. Grrrr!
Thankfully, this happened back in 2012 and we all have healed. We learned a valuable lesson. Sadly gossip is still something that can be damaging to friends. I wonder if jealousy is the root of gossip?
Oh well, I am getting long on posting. I just am tossing my thoughts out.
Thank you for posting my friend. It is a good reminder to stay away from gossip.
I have the perfect quote to go along with this thought~
"Great Minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events;small minds discuss people."

Jemma
"It is just as cowardly to judge an absent person as it is wicked to strike a defenseless one. Only the ignorant and narrow-minded gossip, for they speak of persons instead of things."
Lawrence G. Lovasik
When I taught Sunday School there was a game I played with the kids in the first lesson (if I had a chance. or on the second if first day was too agitated) and it consisted in telling a small story, more a complete sentence to be honest (like: Maria went to the ball with Peter. She dressed a red dress) and would ask them to repeat to the others - one by one - without the others listening. When the phrase reached the last children I would ask her/him for what she/he was told so the others could see how much, to the point of no longer being the same, the phrase changes. When we repeat the game in loud voice others jump in and help you by clarifying, rectifying etc. When as a secret is easy - even if you're not trying to harm the person - to mess all - meanings, subjects etc etc.
I'm so hell bent on teaching (and living) this that not even the celebrity type I enjoy. I can like/dislike a person without having 3rd parties "enlightening" me ;). I prefer to not know all the truth (whatever that means) than learn half truths and lies by others and enter a circle that corrupts and destroys my inner goodness. Gossip is never Kind. Why would they call kind by other name, right?
Love those Paradise Flowers, Dear Friend.
Take Care,
Teresa
I just love the collection of photo's here ...
But it is so true
" Gossip.....
it's an ugly thing.
And it can hurt
many people. "
All the best Jan
