2016

Do you have any New Year's goals?

I don't like to use the word, "resolutions".

I feel like this word can be cliché and sounds a bit intimidating and demanding.

We all have goals though, and what better time to make a plan for achieving them than in the start of a new year?? ;-)

Here are some of mine:

1) Simplify my weekends and my life by spending more time in town. (Don't get me wrong...I love to travel, but I've been on the road so much in the last year!)

2) Continue to work on me and Nel's Traveling Teddy project, and submit to more children's literary agents. (See our previous post for more information.)

3) Last, but certainly not least, walk down the aisle and marry the love of my life!

4) Oh...and I mustn't forget...work on looking amazing in my wedding dress. ;-)

What do you have planned for the new year?

Admire your list but I never make resolutions then I don't have to feel guilty when I break them.

What a wonderful year you are going to have! Getting married is one of life's greatest joys! I think it's good to plan for things we wish for our lives, but I'm not a resolution gal....just a planner. Have a lovely day. ♥

I don't do resolutions - I call mine goals. I usually don't complete all of them, but try. I try to make a list of goals the first of every month and just work month by month.

Congratulations on your wedding plans. I'm sure you will be a gorgeous bride.

Dear Jess and company, I think to always have goals is so much better than trying to start any. Just live as a goal-oriented soul! YEP, today I am HOME. We stayed home yesterday with the exception of going out in the freezing cold to get groceries, together. But today we are enjoying the silence of home over tea, books and each others' laughter. ENJOY working toward the childrens' book venue! Anita

Goals are a great word. We are on a diet again. When we will learn? It's been cold here, no snow as of yet. I am missing those lovely pots of soup. Next moth, we shall be off the diet. I am loving the silence as well and the clean slate we have after Christmas. Happy Sunday. xo

No resolutions for me, just a few 'promises'. I'm going to start a "personal journey" journal starting on Feb 1st (my birthday) and see where it takes me :)

Wonderful things to look forward to and a good guideline for improving the quality of your life in the coming year. My goal this year is to get outside in the garden more, for exercise and fresh air, and of course, beautiful flowers! All the best to you in this exciting new year, Jess! xo Karen

Well, just two really. Make sure I don't miss your point three and I'm so sure that 4 won't be a problem. ;)
And 2016 will have a (new) Luckiest Man on Earth!
I like your resolutions. I must say I don't plan ahead nothing. I just go with the surf and then I marvel for what I achieve without expecting or planning and put on hold what might have been but isn't quie.
Love the pictures in your post. 2016 Starts with a Bang for Red Rose Alley and all of you.
Take Care of yourself, Pretty Girl!
Love,

No resolutions here. Actually I've never made such.

Yours sound wonderful. Especially the marry one.

But please.

Don't bother your pretty head about "working" on looking amazing, in your wedding dress. All brides look amazing.

And anyway....

He fell in love with _you_. Why ever should you "work" on changing anything?
