August Days

A few pictures of August days.

The newest white beauty on a country road.

You don't see ducks in trees that often.

We have the same taste in clothes and shoes.

Favorite shops around the area.

This guy was just strolling in the front yard of an older neighborhood.

Yikes, glad I have a screen.

Love this country road.

Red roses through my blinds.

There are many blue jays around here.

The front entrance at my church.

I barely noticed this little guy through all the wild grass.

Enjoy the rest
of the
summer days.

Sheri, I loved all your photos. You did a great taking the rabbit and duck photos. Wild things usually scurry away. Of course your roses are lovely. I plan on enjoy every last minute of this summer...almost fearing our winter . Al Roker has been saying something about a super el nino this year making for horrid weather. I still have not bought a Farmer's Almanac....it's good for forecasting our weather..most often. Blessings for a great Saturday. Love you, Susie

I'm sure you open your blinds first thing these summer days to see your roses and obviously your eyes are wide open when you explore all the paths and roads around your beautiful part of our country.

Reminds me that I need to brave the August heat and get out more!
A beautiful August weekend to you, Sheri!

Hi Sheri,
You always take such great photos of your area. I LOVE the white horse! And that little rabbit is so sweet..
Something tells me you are braving this horrid heat also... Yesterday it was 110 on the front porch in the shade... I will be staying in today.
Your roses are so beautiful, mine look so sad this summer.. They are blooming, but very sparse and the blooms are so small..

Take care dear friend, and stay cool
blessings,
Penny

What lovely roses. I love gazing through the windows to see what's out in the yard. We have quite a few critters around here, out in the country. The weather will be hot this weekend. Love the sunflowers. They are so pretty, but they never last when I buy them. xo

Dearest Sheri,
Oh these are great photos for the month of August! Roses and sunflowers, long country roads which lead to gorgeous views and white stallions.
So many of these photos make up many of my favorite things as they are all a big part of nature and nothing makes me quite as happy as being outdoors, surrounded by the beauty of life.
Thank you for sharing such pretty photos.
Have a Lovely evening,
With Love,
Jemma

Beautiful Summer/August photos, Sheri. The white horse is lovely, and how much fun to see a duck up a tree, and posing for you too! Great job catching the rabbit too. I like those blue painted chests at the shop - I'd be tempted to buy them. What a beautiful statue of the Madonna and Child at your church, and so nice to see it outside. We had a lovely white marble statue of Our Lady of the Rosary outside our church. It was there for 35 years, then sadly a few years ago vandals came in the churchyard one night and smashed it. We were very shocked. It is not something usual in our area. Anyway, Happy Sunday to you dear Sheri. xx

White beauty is correct. Where I used to live we were surrounded by horse and cattle ranches...sigh...I miss it so much.

I like the two blue tables and that sign by the store too. Enjoying our last couple of weeks of summer days here.

Beautiful photos of peace and love, Madre. :-) I love them all, but I think my favorites are of the white horse, the jackrabbit, and the red roses through the blinds.
P.S. Did you get a pair of sandals??

Oh Sheri, did you think of me when you saw that white HORSE? They are my favorite, you know! And this summer, I discovered where horses can be found, not far from my home!

That country road of yours is fantastic. Your photos of all your summer experiences here are just wonderful to behold. Hasn't it been wonderful? This new week starting, I have some work to tend to at school with more meetings to follow, then preparing for open house on August 27 and school starting on August 31. Let us pray...teeehehee

Summer is saying au revoir, but I'll never forget it. Never.

Be well my sweet friend. Anita

Sheri,
Pretty photos, my favorites are the beautiful Whitehorse and the Rabbit. I used to ride when I was young. One of my favorite memories of youth was watching in utter amazement a baby coming into this world and within minutes up and running. I smiled at the Sunflowers. I just tossed out my rustic bunch of ten because my cat went wild on them and gave them haircuts while he spit them out! C'est la Vie.

Always love your photo essays - wishing you a wonderful week ahead.

SHERI! Hello my sweet! Thank you for viewing my Instagram my friend! Yes,Jennifer B.'s work is so pretty and I had her make me a vintage style oil of the three of us, my grandmother, my mom and myself. The lips and hair belong to myself and my grandmother. The green eyes are my mom's and the rest is a blend of all of us, though now in my older age, I look like my PATERNAL GRANDFATHER! HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH

Thank you for thinking of me when you snapped this gorgeous white steed. Oh,God's best animal creation ever. teeehehee

Much love to you! Anita

Hi Sheri,
I thought you had been to Temecula before, but did not know you had visited Granny's Attic. What a hoot if would have been if we had walked right past each other at one time, and had no clue!
I have always wanted an old singer machine.
When I had the money, I could not find one. When I found one, did not have money! haa
Yes, rain would be so great... Well, I think it was about 2 weeks ago we had that summer storm that lasted about 10 minutes...
Wishing you a peaceful weekend. Stay cool!
Blessings,
Penny

There is something so very special about white horses, country roads that beckon you to explore, and ducks in trees :). However did you manage to come across that?!

This post is a gentle reminder there is beauty everywhere. We only need to look.
