The Murky Road Ahead

It was a foggy day
on Sunday morning.
Me and husband
went to get
our coffee. It was
so hard to see
the road in front
of me.

We sat
and talked
for awhile.

The trees looked
very strange....
and pretty.

The turkeys put
on a show for us
in this gloomy fog.

I get nervous
driving about in
the fog.
How about you?

Good morning Sheri,
The only thing good about fog is looking at it through a window.
Like driving blind..
I LOVE the turkey photos.. Who do these feather friends belong to, do you know?
blessings,
Penny

Dearest Sheri, your photos are so beautiful! Yes, I get nervous driving in the fog as well. Thankfully we don't have a lot of it here, but when we do get it I try to wait for it to disappear before I go out :)

Love and hugs to you!

Love how eerie the trees look through the fog, but driving in the fog is not fun. How funny to see Turkeys playing on the street, we don't have them in my area…
XOXO Mary

wonderful pics!-i grew up in a town that is pretty foggy and maybe that s why I find foggy sceneries mystically charming!

I don't like driving in fog but you sure got some wonderful shots...especially the ones with the trees. Incidentally it has been gray and morning fog all week here...like where I used to live two moves ago :)

Sheri,
Fog is pretty, but not when one is driving in it. I like low fog that appears to roll over rivers and fields.
It feels sort of magical to me. But your fog is so dense! Amanda said it was foggy this morning when I spoke to her as she was on her way to the dentist...miss that girl...
Have a good afternoon, dear friend~
love,
Jemma

Hi Sheri, we certainly have that in common. I hate driving in the fog, too and it get's pretty thick where I live.

I love the pictures of the turkeys... :)

I don't like driving in fog but I like walking in the park. There is something mystical and fascinating how things appear out of nowhere ... I love the softness of the colors, and then ...I like to drink aromatic tea with delicious cookies.

Sheri, You know how I hate the fog. That was thick too. Love those fancy turkeys. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

Reminds me of the song, A Foggy Day in Londontown. Something mysterious and enchanting about the fog. But dangerous to drive in.

Dear Sheri,
How fun it would be to have Turkey's living in town, visiting!
They sure look healthy.

Yes, Anita is concentrating on her writing, and for now has left blogland, but I know she will visit. Her presence will be greatly missed, but I understand. Would be great if she can find time on occasion to post.. She will, however, still post in Nowhere! So keep watch for that.
blessings dear friend,
Penny

I don't like the fog either... it is so gloomy lately and cold. Where is the great California weather that we are known for? lol

Oh yes, I do. I see a metaphor here....is that what you intended my dear friend and writer?

We all are afraid of the fog. Some are thrilled and chilled in wonder by it, others are afraid of what lurks behind or in it. But we all sense WONDER and FEAR. AND...those turkeys! HAHAHAHHAHHHAH just like us, you have been invaded by these wild birds! You should see the babies here in the spring, walking up to the doorsteps of our homes! YES!

Be still and rest assured that the fog will lift my friend. It always does. Anita

We had some fog like that here a few days ago....and I had to be out driving my Mother to doc. Very uneasy about driving in it. Could barely see the car in front of me.

What beautiful turkeys! WOW! And yes...I hate to drive in the fog or even rain any more! Hugs!

I don't like it either, especially when the area is hilly and it settles in the hollows. The road literally disappears and it's like you are falling off a cliff. Be safe.
Hugs,
Patti

Terrified, Sheri! but they are great pictures, and fantastic turkeys. Have a great weekend..xxx

I'm scared to drive in the fog too. Wow those turkeys are funny! The bare tree in the fog looks a little eerie though, it's like in a horror movie.

Enjoy your weekend dear

I adore fog! I've always thought that would be one of the great things about living in London, the fog. (Even after seeing that old scary Doris Day movie. She wore all the beautiful clothes in it.) We rarely get them anymore here it seems. I even like the excitement of creeping along on the road with the fog lights turned on.

Are those turkeys wild? We have wild turkeys that roam in the hills of our street but they never come close to the houses and I've never seen them that gorgeous!

Wow it's incredible how foggy it is. Can be difficult for driving but definitely makes for lovely pictures. Those turkeys are amazing, never seen pictures quite like that before.

Hi Sheri,

Your photos are all wonderful - love the fog amongst the lovely old trees.
Yes, it can be risky driving in the fog when you can hardly see in front of you.
Happy new week

Dear Sheri,

thank you for visiting my blog, I very much appreciate it!

I don't like to drive through fog, either, but it gaves everything fascinating looks, doesn't it? The picture with the trees is just fantastic, I love it!

Have a nice day,

I'm terrified of driving in fog and ice too. In fact we are having a very cold spell over here but thankfully there's no snow in our area. Pretty to look at but makes driving so scary! Your foggy photos are lovely especially the one with the trees.
