This Is Where My Story Begins

Today,
I have been
married for
 32 years.
I was so young,
 only 20.
Can I ask you
a question?
What was I thinking?
That's just it -
I wasn't thinking,
I was in love.

This is my wedding box.
Come along with me
and see what's inside.

Oh,
here's tickets to
my Senior Ball.
Yes, we go
way back.

A card that
I gave him
once.

We used to listen to
Rod Stewart
all the time,
and even saw him
in concert.

A golden key
to my heart.
Although, there
were times
when I slammed
the door
and locked it.
;~)

Here is a couple
pictures.
One of them
is the church
we used to go to
when we
were dating,
and the other
is the
Austin Healy Sprite
we used to
drive around in.
That car took us
everywhere.

I don't know
how our story
will end.

I started out
like this.

And I hope
to end up
like this.

Sheri,

It won't end. That's not the kind of Love you Live. The kind of Love you Live knows no end.

I hope you keep on pilling the souvenirs and memories - both inside the wedding box and your hearts.

As for the cradle robber ;), today he's forgiven and I hug him for choosing such a wonderful heart to enjoy this wonderful trip with.

Happy Anniversary!

Teresa

Oh, how I can relate to you! Our lives run along the parallel lines. I was married at 18 and I'm happy to report I'm still married to the same man. Some people might think that we got married too young but the times were different 42 years ago...Yep, we've been married 42 years! I'd say that speaks for itself. :)

This is a very sweet and touching post! :)

This was very special, and it reminds me of all the wonderful times we have enjoyed through the years. I am truly blessed to have such an angel for a wife. I like the last picture best.

No ending to any love story. It lives on in many different ways--and we actually choose the way it lingers, its fragrance, etc.--but it lives on!!

Since I know you love quotes as much as I do (friends know these things about each other), ;) here's one to prove what I just said.

"Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love."~1 Corinthians 13:13 (And they say 13 is not a lucky number...HA!) :)

Your post made me smile all the way through. BEAUTIFUL!!! Thinking of you, especially during these special days for you, love. Blessings.
XOXO,
Marcia

What a lovely post my dear one. Ruben and I had our 30th and though the road has been unevenly paved at times, in the end, you know you have done the right thing for the reality of love is HARD WORK. If we can all make it to that stage of life, we will have run the race meant for us to partake in. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Anita

My dear, dear Sheri!!

I just love to see you come and visit me my dear! Yes, summer is starting to show signs of fading off over here; my husband goes back to school next week for meetings and orientation, but MOI? NO!!!!! YIPEEEEE! I only go back for one meeting at the end of the month for new substitutes and once school starts, I can choose to work only 3 days a week and leave the rest of the week to work furiously on getting my art and writing POLISHED and ready to sell locally.

Thank you for your kind words on my post. You are such a kind friend and I just admire you. Enjoy your days, though my goodness, it is so HOT for many states this summer! I know, we had about a week straight of 100+ temps.

LOVE TO YOU! Anita

Hi Sheri, it is so true that "Staying in love is very special"

Your blog is delightful and I love the music. Normally when a blog has music, I hit the mute button. This is the stuff that I can listen to all day.

Thank you for your sweet visit and of course I will follow you, but in return please come back and follow me, too.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you and your daughters better, through blogging. Have a marvelous day, and keep a song in your heart.

Your newest follower, Connie :)
