Color In My World

I'm not one to make new years resolutions; I just try to be the best me that I can, but I did decide to buy myself more flowers this year.  When me and my husband were dating, he used to buy me Carnations all the time.  I just bought a beautiful bouquet of them.  Carnations have the best smell, and they last for a very long time.  These are so colorful, and I love them.  Here's a few more colorful pictures as well.

My kids like to draw in their spare time.  I don't know where they get their talent from - I can't draw at all.

Some of my stationery cards.

I've always wanted to go up in one of these...maybe someday.

Isn't this the coolest butterfly?

We all need a little color in our lives to brighten our day.

Love you!!

Sheri, I love carnations too. I think they are lovely, especially since they last so long.
I have to share something special. My husband and I love to listen to oldies and we were playing the Harry Conick, Jr. station on Pandora on our way back from the Keys last night. Well, suddenly they played the exact version of Louis Armstrong's "When You're Smiling" that you have on your playlist. Feet up on the dashboard, windows down, perfect cool breeze blowing through my hair, there I was singing along with a huge smile across my face and I smiled even more as I thought of my bloggy friend, Sheri. :)
I couldn't wait to share.

The colors are so vibrant in all the photos. GORGEOUS flowers. I love fresh ones in the house. I LOVE Hot Air Balloons, too. We see them flying over our house in the spring and summer. Had to chuckle over the lipstick, though. Too wild for me. LOL take care. PS) Glad you were finally able to comment on my blog. Guess the POP UP works better.

Love you too!

I love carnations and for us - Portuguese - is a flower that means a lot to us as it was the flower that was chosen - because it was the one blooming in that time of the year perhaps - to represent our Liberty from a Dictatorial Regime.

And I love their smell too. A strong and good smell. (a while ago I was reading a novel from Nora Roberts and the characters were discussing flowers and the girl said she loved carnations because they weren' sissy ahahahah)

A nice move. To add flowers to your days. And the play of choosing what to take, smell all, go for a color or other will be very pleasant for the pampering.

Enjoy!

P.S. Both my kids are very artistic too and I can't even sign my name twice the same way. Go figures! Don't count me in the Balloon Ride, maybe I could wait you in some point with a nice picnic ahahahah

Such lovely bright colours in your photos. The carnations are beautiful, I think it is always nice to have cut flowers indoors to enjoy, brings a bit of sunshine inside (perfect on a winters day).

Very lovely colors Sheri, so beautiful! I was in a balloon some years ago and it was great. It's so silent up in the air and very warm because of the heaters. I didn't know and wore two coats that day. I was in a Dutch magazine with my blue tableware. Nice you like it too. Wish you a lovely new week, Antonia

I so enjoy the songs you keep in this happy corner of the blogosphere! I enjoy just leaving your blog up to hear them as I am at work in the kitchen. Makes doing dishes a much cheerier task ;-) Hurrah for the carnations! I adore fresh flowers in a home and am really liking your commitment to more flowers this year!

Awwww..I needed some color in my day today! You are the second person I visited who bought flowers for themselves today. I think I just may have to stop at Kroger on the way home to pick up a little bouquet. Your space is always a nice pick-me-up!

Hugs, Sandy
