This is our fourth annual pumpkin carving contest. Every year my kids carve their pumpkins trying to make them the spookiest, funniest, and most creative one from all the others. Their dad and me are the judges, and we decide who will come in first place. The only rules are there are no props and no pumpkin carving kits. So, on with the contest while we watch these sweet pumpkins being carved the old fashioned way.
I love the way they smell after opening a freshly carved pumpkin.

What better way to celebrate Halloween than a
Mad Tea Party?
So, the Scarecrow won first place. We thought it was unique, fun, and alot of time went into making it.
Which one is your favorite? Have a good week, my sweet friends.

Sounds like fun. The pumpkins are delightful. It's tough to narrow it down. But I kinda like the monster and the scarecrow. Just think the winner wins bragging rights for a whole year. GREAT photos of your party. LOVED everything.
Hey Sheri, Looks like you had fun, I agree the scarecrow would have been the winner in my book. I love the dearly departed bottle too, that is great. Thanks for stopping by, Laura - Cottage and Broome
I would like to know a little more about the wine!
What a fun night!

Hi, I think this is a great idea for your children and great family fun. All the pumpkins are clever and they are all terrific. You and your daughters have a great blog, its beautiful! I look forward to your future post after I finish taking the tour. Thanks for your invitation, I'm happy to follow you.

Oh my goodness, everything looks wonderful. I cannot believe I have not made caramel apples this year. I have a whole bunch of Granny Smiths sitting on my kitchen table just begging to be dipped in caramel. Thanks for the reminder. Yum!!
They're all so cute--but the scarecrow looks like it took a long time! My kids (not kids, I guess they're 26, 23 and 21) have an unofficial pumpkin carving contest every year. They try to outdo each other. This year my son carved a 55 pound pumpkin! Your party looked like so much fun. Lots of good memories!
Wow Sheri, how fun!! Great pumpkins and a Mad Tea Party...how fun is that!! (And yummy, I'm sure. Hehe!)
