It's a Magical World

Jess and I discovered the magic of Harry Potter through our little brother, who picked up the first book in elementary school and introduced us to a wondrous world we would come to love

Over the years, we followed Ron, Hermione, and Harry, watching as they grew from awed first years entering the Great Hall at Hogwarts to an inseparable wizard trio, who through love and loyalty managed to overcome even the greatest of odds.

Each summer when the new book came out, we would be among the first in line to pick up a copy at our local book store. We couldn't put it down until we had flipped the very last page and seen Harry safely through his latest journey.

"It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."
~ Albus Dumbledore ~

The books were spell-binding, and we found the movies to be nearly as spectacular. We had been eagerly awaiting the release of Part II of The Deathly Hallows, the final magical chapter in Harry's extraordinary story. Since this Sunday was our brother's 20th birthday, we decided it would be the perfect time to buy our tickets for the last part of a journey we began together almost 10 years ago

There's nothing quite like the experience of going to the theater

There's something magical about the moment when the lights go down and the music begins, and you settle back in your chair ready to be transported into a world of imagination.

The movie was everything we knew it would be and more! And the best part of it was being able to share the experience together.

We're not sure whether there will ever be another series quite like J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter, but we feel grateful for all the many magical moments she has given us over the years.

"'Tell me one last thing,' said Harry. 'Is this real? Or has this been happening inside my head?'
Dumbledore beamed at him...
'Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?'"
~ Harry Potter ~

Here's to celebrating imagination!

My family too have enjoyed the Harry Potter books and movies. I used to read them to my son every night for a bedside story, when he was about 6 and he loved them.
I look forward to going to see the latest one.
Yes, I wonder if JK Rowling will write some more?

Happy week

I can't wait to see the very last one *sniffle, tears*. We have been waiting a few weeks, to let the crowds get in first. I can't wait!!!

Hi guys. I still remember going to the bookstore at midnight with Matt and Danny to pick Harry Potter up when it first came out so Katie could have it first thing in the morning. Guess who went to the lst midnight show to see the latest Harry Potter movie? Miss Katie, of course. Matt and Ashley went the next afternoon. Danny and I have not even read one yet, but I told him we have to because so many people love them. I've put it on my reading list. Mona

I am a serious HP addict. I read the books about once a year and watch the movies with my nephew a few times a month. The movies and books are like comfort food to me, I love slipping into the HP world. Especially in the Fall. I haven't seen the last movie but I can't wait.
Thanks for coming by to say hello and leave such a sweet comment, it was great to meet you!

Hey gals,
My son and I will go see Harry Potter sometime this weekend. I have seen all of the movies with him. I have never read the books but have enjoyed the movies. Sad that the author's Mother never got to see the success the books became....but know she is proud and smiling in heaven. I also have wonderful memories of another great movie...."E.T." which was a large phenomenon at the time my older son was very little. Have a beautiful day and may we all never lose our wonder of the magic of life.... (((hugs)))) Kim

Thank you for stopping by my blog and your comments on Kelly's art. My husband is a big fan of Harry Potter. Our daughter bought him his first book and he was hooked, he has read every book and has seen all the movies.
Encourage Nel with her art work, it's so rewarding.
