Celebrating Independence Since 1776

The Fourth of July in Huntington Beach is a festive affair!

Downtown cottages are adorned with red, white, and blue decor.

The parade moves through Main Street entertaining all.

The scents of charcoal barbecue and sea breeze fill the air.  Tourists take to the beaches, and locals lounge on their decorated porches.

At night, fireworks are lit off from the pier providing a spectacular show above.  We'll be celebrating here with barbecued carne asada, veggie and smoked sausage kabobs, and Nel's famous macaroni salad.

What are YOU doing for the Fourth of July?  We hope you and your families have a fabulous holiday....

Drive safe ;-)

Nothing like a hometown parade.

May her flag fly high & proud forever over this great land ... may God see the changes we need & grant us that blessing.

Happy 4th, sweetie.

Hi gals,
I love your photos celebrating the 4th of July! Sheri, that has to be your door with the mermaid! I would love to see a closeup of your door. You should do a posting on it! Very cool! I love the Mexican Villa looking home with the terraces....beautiful! Looks like a festive place for the holidays with all the decor. I know you had a wonderful time with the family! Your food choices sound delicious. Mel will have to post her famous salad recipe sometime. Have a wonderful day. I am gearing up for a very close girlfriend's visit from Houston next week. She arrives Sunday afternoon. My posts will be a little shorter while she is here but I am still planning on posting a few photos. Have a great day! xoxo Kim

Hi Kim,
No, that's not my door you see. That's just one of the many decorated homes that Jess came across on the 4th of July. Have fun with your friend from Houston. Good friends are so special.
