Heritage

I'm really into my heritage.  I've always wanted to know about my ancestors - who they were, and where they came from.  My father is Greek, and my mom would often make dishes for dinner that were passed down to him.  A couple of years ago when Jess said she was going to Greece, I was overwhelmed.  A chance to see the beautiful culture that goes back for so many years.

I hope you've enjoyed the little piece of Greece we've shared.  When Jess went there, she tried to get in touch
with our relatives, but they only spoke Greek, so they didn't know how to communicate with her.  I hope to visit there too.......maybe someday.

Happy Saturday!
I enjoyed the photos of Greece. I love the photo of the beach area...I think that is my favorite! My son's fiance, Amy, went to Greece for a vacation a couple of years ago with her sister, Alissa. Like you, they had some amazing photos. Greece is a beautiful area! I would love to visit there someday! Greece and Italy top my list of places that I would LOVE to see someday! Thank you for taking us on to Greece through your blog posting. Have a great weekend! xoxo Kim

I'm with you, Kim....Italy is my second place I'd love to explore. I'm interested in Africa also. My mom went to Egypt, and it surprised us all. There's a whole world out there waiting for us.

This post brings back such lovely memories. My husband and I spent the first year of our marriage stationed on Crete. We just love it and miss Greece very much!

Laura~ What a great place to be stationed, especially for newlyweds! I didn't make it to Crete, but I heard it's so beautiful. I definitely want to stop by the island next time I visit Greece!
