A Feel Of Fall Around The Home

Today is the first day of Autumn!  It's starting to feel like Fall here in the mountains of northern California.  In the early mornings when I get in my car, it's in the 50's, but then gradually gets a little warmer throughout the day.  There is a Fall feel around the home too, as I've decorated a bit here and there.  I found the cutest pumpkin at the store that had the most delightful stem.  I bought a harvest sign, as I appreciate our farmers in California very much.  They bring us an abundance of fruits and vegetables that are available with every season.  A while back, I bought a soft cream colored pumpkin at Home Goods.  It has sequins all over it, with a gold glittery stem.

My family are Harry Potter lovers, so I've been looking for this limited edition coffee creamer in peppermint.

Here's a little of Nel's Fall decorating too.  Her walls are a sage green, so those greyish/green pumpkins go nicely in her home.  She gets creative and uses silk flowers and beads in her decor.  She also has many things from years ago; scarecrows that belonged to her grandma, and things she had since she was very young that I passed on to her.  I appreciate that her and Jess still hold on to the old treasures.

I got a surprise when I looked out my window one morning and saw 3 deer!  Two fawn were on my lawn, while mama deer was next to the fence looking on.  Then, they trotted over to the side of the house and stood right next to my car.  Not the best pictures because, well, 3 deer were in my yard, and it felt like a scene from Snow White for just a minute or so haha.  I just gazed, and took it all in.  Another day, three deer appeared on my lawn once again, possibly the same ones.  They seem to come around in September.

And the northern flicker woodpecker with its sturdy beak.

In town, I noticed this tree starting to change color.  The first sign of Fall.

Do you like my new coffee cup?  Found it at World Market, and with the tall pines painted on the cup, I thought it was so mountain looking, and just right for me.

Mia participated in a fundraiser last week, and the kids were invited to a half-day clinic where they learned four cheers, and then got to perform them later on.  She had a blast!

Are you seeing signs of Fall around your neck of the woods yet?

Good day Sheri - bless you for sharing the lovely fall decorations. Everything looks so cozy it looks like Nel is following in her mom's steps. Glad you found your special creamer. Don't you just adore pumpkin? I certainly do. Have a pumpkin candle that smells adorable. As the days are growing shorter...it is nice to start burning a candle in the evenings. I have yet to get out my fall things. Hopefully will decorate this week. Hubby read that deer that are in your area remain where they are seen. There is an order in the herd and so those you are seeing will keep returning your way because they do not travel far. Nice to know that those babies will most likely keep visiting when they are mamas and papas of their young! Hope you have a beautiful start to the fall season. Hugs!

It's beautiful in your world with that wonderful color -- and deer! So very close! I love each and every pumpkin (your new one is a gem!) and that little glass-topped table with the bird on the leg. Everything looks beautiful and fallish -- even the baking!

I enjoyed seeing all the decorations. I love pumpkins and I look at the stems on them when picking them out. :-) So far I found one little one that I have on our dinning room table.
We plan to go for a ride out in the country to our favorite little pumpkin patch in a few days.
Love, Carla

Love, love, love this time of year. LOOOOVE it. Love all your decor too. We take ours out during Summerween, we've always started in the summer. I freakin' LOVE Halloween and Autumn. What a treat. Love that candle you have too. Do you ever hit up TJ/TK Maxx for candle deals? Sometimes we find real good deals there.

Hurrah!! This is always one of my favorite posts of yours, your fall decor!! The gold stemmed pumpkin is beautiful! And the mug is so pretty. I have so many mugs, and just cannot resist when I see one I love. I have always loved the little orange pitcher. And I will be looking for the Harry Potter creamer! I have the same little fox! Plus the raccoon and the third one. Now you have given me an idea for it, I have not really known what to do with it. The tree is so pretty, we don't have one like it here yet. so cool about the deer! This is rutting season and you don't know what they will be doing!

I love all of the Halloween decorations. Baking indeed makes the home feel like fall. I baked an apple pie for a potluck on Saturday. The deer and flicker are so fun to see. Love your mountain mug. It is perfect for you.

Wonderful decorations. I have put out a few things here and there.
I love your cup. I live in the mountains of NH so it would work here too. It is fun to see animals in the yard but oh those deer can go through a garden in a hot minute.

The glittering white pumpkin looks pretty. You have a very nice collection of pumpkins. I also like the decoration with the little pitcher and the orange flower.
Deer are so cute, it's great that you sometimes see them from your window.
Everything is still green here, but soon the leaves here will turn yellow and red too. :)

Good morning...looking very Fall-ish around your place. I love pine trees, which means that I really do like your new coffee cup!! You have a lot of deer around your place which I love seeing all the pictures you share of them. BTW...I really do like your new header with the white pumpkin and the rose. There are a lot of cute fall decorations out this year. I told myself that I wasn't going to buy anything this year when it comes to fall decorations. I have three big containers of fall decorations, but I have barely even looked at them this year. I did buy one new cup and it is on my post today....the one with the ghost on it. Enjoy your day...we have rain right now and I'm hoping it brings cooler temps.. hugs to you

What fun to see all your Fall decorations. I'm going to have to pick up a few as mine are sadly lacking. The Harry Potter Creamer, didn't know they had those. I will have to remember my HP fan friends and take a look next time I go to the store. Always enjoy your yummy food/goodies. Lovely sight to look out the window and see your deer. The changing leaves are incredibly pretty. Yours look a little further along that ours. Thank you for all the delightful photos Sheri, and Happy Fall!

So good to see your beautiful Fall accessories, Sheri. The sparkly pumpkin is gorgeous. How lovely to have three deer in your garden,; they are so sweet to look at. As your beautiful trees turn to golden, I think of my daughter in Canada, where it will be looking the same. (Wish I could fly over for a look :) Your new coffee mug is just perfect for your surroundings. Well spotted.

Oh my goodness I do love your post - maybe because I know you so well too. Love your new cream pumpkin in the header - so soft and delicate looking. I am jealous of you with your fall coming so soon - not here - yet. We never get that red color on our trees - or not a lot of it. The glass pumpkin is so pretty and I love the stand it is on with the wines and birds. So you baked cinnamon rolls and cookies - what kind? Seeing deer out your window is so cool. And the Flicker woodpecker. I love Snoopy. And I am going to look for that Harry Potter cream for my grandson. He likes Harry Potter. Loved all your pictures.

You have such a sweet, feminine way of decorating, Sheri xx I love all of your pretty things. The glass pumpkin on the little table is precious, and your new, white sequined pumpkin is so pretty in your header, too. The dark velvet one on the little angel is so beautiful. Well, everything is sweet, and I like your new mug, too. I wish I could stop by for a cup of coffee and one of those cinnamon buns! xx Lovely to see the deer right outside your windows and so special to have twin fawns. They look just like the same type of deer we have here.
Nel has the same sweet style as her mom, too. How sweet that Mia learned the cheers at her fundraiser. She is growing up so fast! Don't you wish you could slow down time? Nice to see the fall colors already. I love the cooler mornings and evenings this time of year. Hope you have a nice, cozy weekend! Hugs xo K
