Crumbled Lemon Loaf

I went to Starbuck's and ordered a lemon loaf, one of my favorite goodies there.  The lady who took my order was blonde, middle aged, friendly, and nice.  Her name was Charlotte.  The lemon loaf started to crumble right when she placed it in the bag, so she got me another lemon loaf.  I said, "it's crumbling because it's so moist."  She had a tattoo on her arm, and I asked her what it meant.  She said it was in Thai,  ไม่ต้องกังวลเกี่ยวกับเรื่องนี้, and it means Don't worry about it - no worries.  She then placed the other lemon loaf in the bag, and handed me both of the loaves - the good one and the crumbled one.  And with a smile on her face and a loud voice, she said, "Don't worry about it - no worries!"

Here's a few pictures of Christmas decorations and
this and that.

My mom had this porcelain box in her kitchen all year long.   She loved her grandchildren, and all those years looking at that little box in her home, I never realized I would have it someday, and have grandchildren of my own.

Lots of Christmas shopping,
lots of decorating, lots of wrapping.
It's time to take a break,
and have a hot cup of coffee and
some Christmas cookies.

There's so much for me and you to worry about in this big ole world, but I want to pass along these special words to you that the lady from Starbuck's passed on to me.

Don't worry about it -
no worries.

Yum sounds like you got two for the price of one there!(-: I have never had a lemon loaf before. I do like lemon cake and lemon bars that I make myself. I love your little pink deer. All the decorations are super cute. I also love being able to enjoy my families heirlooms.

Girl you and I have the same tastes. I love the lemon cake and have you tried to pumpkin loaf? Excellent - but pricey. Nice she gave you the extra piece.
That white reindeer looks so proud as he hold his head high and I like the pink one too. Of course I love fried chicken.
You seem ready for cooler weather and for the Christmas Holidays to begin - I am all in!
Don't worry about it - no worries - I like that.
Love, sandie

Oh, that lemon loaf sounds delicious! I LOVE that little Rudolph! He is just too cute for words. The one with the gold bow an the jingle bells. Well, I am calling it Rudolph because of the red nose, but it is pink like a girl so I con't know for sure.

I love your Starbucks story and now I must try the lemon loaf. What a great attitude the woman had with the tattoo. Christmas shopping is almost done, but I hadn't even begun to think about wrapping yet. Decorations go up Friday and Saturday. Your chicken looks good. What a sweet little box. Happy Thanksgiving!

Good morning sweet soul!

It all boils down to these wise and simple words. No worries, for we have a savior who carries them for us.

Have a MARVELOUS celebration.

dear Sheri , i wonder that lady might have said those sweet words but you are one of the fortunate who understood their depth and true value :) and how beautifully shared this story and message to us :)))

worries never are able to lessen the problems ,they just weak us to face them more strength fully.

i loved these Christmas themed images ,box belong to your mom and story about it touched my heart and reminded me days when i used to think i will never get married or have child ,i remember when after marriage i was told that i am expecting i could never believe it is going to be real for me
wishing you more blessings ahead my dear friend!

Isn't it wonderful when we meet people in our every day life that lift you up....saying things you need to hear right that minute. We can learn so much from each other if we'll just slow down and take the time. What a sweet story. Love all the sweet vintage things you have in your decorations. Those are some of my favorites. Happy Thanksgiving my friend to you and your sweet family! Hugs!

We never know what effect we might have on a stranger, do we? Just smiling and being kind can have such ripple effects. And she was passing her kindness on to one of the kindest women I know.

Isn't it fun getting sweet Christmas things out? I'm like a child again when doing that, it never fails. Each of your little Christmas objects are so sweet and pretty. I love the little pink fawn! I have a few things that my mother put out each Christmas and they are precious to me so I know you treasure your mother's little trinket box.

What a great story! I was in a VERY long and slow line today at the store and the poor young guy working the register was the only one there. MOST people were kind and sympathetic (maybe they had the 'holiday spirit') but it struck me how kind and patient HE was. As he served each customer, he sent them off with a "God bless". No lemon loaf though haha! And I LOVE that little pink deer and tree!

Dear Sheri - what a uplifting post - yeah for sure no worries when I visit you. Love your Christmas decorations...especially that porcelain box...ah if it could talk - I am sure it would have lots of wonderful stories to tell us.

Thank you friend for always coming to visit me. I am thankful on this Thanksgiving day for your friendship and wonderful posts and visits. May you be blessed with an abundant Thanksgiving - P.S. Bet the Lemon loaf that crumbled tasted just as good as the one that did not :)! Hugs

That's so sweet, Sheri. Such a sweet woman in Starbucks. There is so much goodness around. We really need to focus on that! I love your sweet little box that was your mothers. It's so precious as are your Christmas decorations. I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving, my friend.

Another happy post, Sheri! I'm so glad you met with kindness, it is the season for it, and kindness in the form of a lemon loaf and extra nice.

No worries...that was really nice. I have not had such luck with having someone nice waiting on me. Customer service has gone by the way side I am afraid and until the stores get on it and change it then it will probably get worse. I hope not, hoping it turns around. Loving the decor. Christmas is almost here....
