There was a festival going on at my church this weekend that I went to and enjoyed. They were serving many different dishes, so my son joined me. He loves authentic foods from different traditions.
Cute pom poms adorned the posts

of the building.
Colorful umbrellas
There were even ladies dressed
in their colorful blouses.
We each had a taco and a tamale,
which were so good.
We didn't try the assorted pastries,
but I've had these before.
Lovely handmade signs
(this one means Rosary of love).
Just one of the many festivals
that my church puts on every year.
Color is the language of
the poets.
It is astonishingly lovely.
To speak it is a privilege.

Have a colorful week.

And those dishes and pastries looks so delish.
Church events are fun because you get to be
closer to other members and you get to meet
new people from it.

Hi Sheri! It sounds like you had a wonderful time! Happy Fall!
XOXO Mary
Dearest Sheri, good morning! As the colors of summer fade but the temporary hues of fall enter, I am blessed. Your share today is happy and full of my own family heritage! Tamales are a huge part of my family holiday celebration, and sometimes it's too painful to even smell the aroma of all these foods, for my elders lovingly prepared these dishes with us kids watching on, and now we are the creators of this tapestry of colorful family heritage. Enjoy your day my friend!
Very colorful! I love color! Bet you and your son had an amazing time. Wishing I lived closer to my son so that we could do things like this but thanks to the world of today and CELL phones I get to have contact with him all the time!!!!

I’ve got a thing for Pom poms, so those huge ones made me smile ๐. I can appreciate how much work went into this event, just the tamales alone are super time consuming!
Days like this with family are what life is all about.

part of ... and did someone say tamales?! yUm.
What is the stained glass mural? Those look like teardrops!
