I watched a movie recently, Finding Vivian Maier, and it was fascinating to me....the kind of movie that you are still thinking about three days later. She was a great photographer, and I think anyone who loves taking pictures would enjoy this movie. I often take pictures of the lovely, but I also like to capture the unusual, quirky, out of the ordinary, bizarre and beautiful.
When I took a black and white photography class many years ago, I was asked who my favorite photographer was. I didn't really have one at the time. Now I do. There's something very special and captivating about Vivian Maier's photos. I can really learn a thing or two from this amazing and artistic photographer. I hope you get a chance to watch this movie sometime.

Okay - are those photos yours? You have some great catches there. I wish I could do that. Andy is taking a class now - I would love too. I love the pigeon in that hole.
I also think the two babies girls are precious - what a gift from God - they are beautiful.
I have been fascinated by Vivian for a long time. Now I want to see that movie. Your photos in this post are just plain wonderful and fun to see. Love the one of you in the mirror.
Yes, Sandie, all the photos were taken by me except the baby pictures. Thank you, I appreciate that.
Hello, so many beautiful photos. I love your adorable grandchildren. The kitties are cute. Awesome moon captures. I hope the turkey crossed the road safely. Happy Monday, enjoy your day and week ahead.
Sheri, your photos are always so lovely and crisp! I like the unusual as well and will definitely look for this movie. I haven't heard of it! Your moon photos are wonderful--I find I take the best photos of the moon in the winter when it is very cold! Love the photos of the kitties and the darling bird sticking out of the pipe! Your darling grand girlies look so happy and content--what more could you ask for them? Have a happy week, my friend! ♥
Sheri I absolutely love your photography skills! I love the picture of the moon! The babies are beautiful! They look so happy in the pictures! Have a wonderful week my friend!

Gorgeous photos, Sheri, absolutely gorgeous. Wow. I've missed you a lot. My blog, computer, etc. has been kaput for the past week. Malware. Miserable, rotten malware invaded my computer and there was no way to do anything.Oh, Sheri, I HOPE the worst is over. Take care and girlfriend, keep snapping those photos! Susan

i've seen the film and was thoroughly *taken*
by her gift and privacy. ♥

Thanks for recommending that movie. I will definitely watch that.

Hi Sheri, I will look out for that movie which sounds like one I would enjoy. Your grand-babies are adorable, and how you must enjoy them. I always enjoy your cute and quirky pictures, especially that little birdie in the pipe :) Have a beautiful week. xx
I am going to check out this film, but first, I need to check HER out! I have never heard of her but now I'm very curious. I have always had an artistic streak in me, but I find that I'm not a very adventurous photographer. I have been going by the Instragram inspirational train, but I LOVE what you are proposing here dear Sheri.....this type of photography will demand that I go outside the neat little borders I often trap myself in...I want to go beyond the borders and find the unusual. Your photos are wonderful.
I love all your photo's, Sheri. What a sweet smile the baby has!
What a great collection of photos! That sounds like the kind of movie I'd like. Thanks for the recommendation!
All your photos look amazing,
and your subjects may be unusual
something my untrained eye
would not even consider to take pictures of
but they turned out really well.
Your grandbabies are so adorable
I'm sure they are your fave subjects.
Have a nice day ♥

I am going to look for that movie.
Happy Tuesday
Dear Sheri,

Thanks also for sharing the movie, as I am always on the look out for something different.

Great pics! Like you I am always looking for something that pops, that stands out, that is different. I love looking for objects that are formed in other objects, like you heart pic. I call them my funny finds. Like a face in the grain of wood, or a heart out of the shape of a leave. Enjoyed your different finds! Thanks for sharing esp those adorable babes! So blessed. Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog always , I really love my all around, here and there post. I am able to share so much that way. If I stuck to one topic I would have a back load of things to share and never get around to sharing all.
I have never heard of Vivian Maier. I will have to check out the movie. I love your photos. Yes, unusual and quirky make great photos, but...the cutest are always the babies. :)
Beautiful baby. Have a happy week. Greetings.
You are full of curiosity toward the outer world which often changes its face. I look forward to seeing your next shots.
These photos are wonderful and very unique. I got to visit a display of Ansel Adams black and white nature photos years ago at the Louisville Museum. It takes a lot of skill and patience. Thanks for sharing your photos! The baby is SO CUTE!
I love these so much and have always admired people that find the beauty in unusual places. Those precious babies are growing to fast. Hugs and lots of love .
