This Is The Season I Love

One of the reasons I never want to leave
northern California
is because of its glorious Autumns.

Went to Barnes & Noble
to look for a gift for the baby shower
games we'll be playing.
They always have the cutest stuff.

Didn't find anything,
but I did buy this - it was time for a
new magazine.

Even the shopping centers
are displaying their Fall colors.

Have you tried the pumpkin scone
at Starbucks?
Oh, it's so good.  I'm starting to like
scones better than the loafs.
I couldn't help taking a bite before the pic.  ; )

Has Autumn arrived yet for you?

It's on the edge. Some of the trees are turning but not all. The light is changing. The days are shortening. The weather -- erratic. Sweater weather one week, shorts the next. No falling leaves yet but soon, I think!

Your photos are lovely, Sheri!

The magazine and the scone look wonderful, as well as your fall photos. Enjoy the fall colors!

Sheri, I loved your photos.. You do live in a pretty area. Yesterday, I had a sweater on and a young lady was wearing shorts in the same store. LOL. We just never know what to expect next. A warm up is headed our way. I hope it cools down for the Horton's Fall Market. Put people in the mood to buy some things. I love scones, although I have never seen frosting on one. :):) I did buy some pumpkin spice creamer. Blessings to you honey, xoxo, love, Susie

Autumn is such a lovely time of year. Out here in the Midwest our temps have dropped, at times, to quite chilly fall like temps. Brrrr. And... you think - get out the blankets, the winter coats, etc..... But, we are expecting 90 degrees again this weekend, so it's back and forth, quite a bit.

I love all your images! God created every season unique and beautiful!!!

Blessings!!! Net

Part of me loves fall, the colors are so pretty. The temperature has dropped so you can enjoy outside time, all good things. The other part wants to yell "NO" stop, summer just can't be over. The days are shorter,so evening outside time is cut short. I don't like raking leaves! I do not like winter! So, I enjoy what I can and try hard not to think of what follows fall.

Sheri I say this all the time, but you should create a nature photo book! It's so calming and peaceful to look at the beauty of nature in your photos!

Fall is in the air here in Chicago although thankfully we are supposed to be back in the 80's this weekend - YAY! I'm always sad to see summer go. The trees are JUST starting to turn here and the mornings are chilly and the grass soaked in dew. I will probably surrender and begin fall decorating next week!

Hello Dear Sheri...Ohhhhh, those pumpkin scones look scrumptious. Oh my. Well, autumn in New England is glorious. It hasn't really begun in earnest yet but it's coming. Oh yeah. It's coming. Take care, Sheri. Hugs. Susan

Scone looks inviting dear Sheri!!!
i am glad you are enjoying the footsteps of autumn in your beautiful California .

Soon the surrounding will turn into magical and stunning display of nature's beauty .

Ah... in such times i miss my village winters where i used to star at rows of tree below te hills like colorful laces and could not even listen the voice of my mother who called me for any chore as felt captivated by the scenery .
Autumn gets here in November and i relay only my single neem tree whom my hubby cuts down to get sun light in front yard

The Japanese maple across the street is starting to turn orange. Usually, my trees don't start with the beautiful color until Oct. Pretty soon....It also is my favorite time of the year!

I'm afraid I'm not very fond of autumn and that's because of the clouds it usually brings with it. Cloudiness arouse my low back pain, and since I don't take any meds to alleviate it, I suffer until these clouds disperse.

Hi Sheri,

Enjoy Autumn and all the beauty around - my favourite seasons are Autumn and Spring when the weather is beautiful. Lovely to see all your great photos.
You and the family must be getting excited for the new baby.
Happy weekend

The leaves have started to turn a bit here in Nashville. If you like Calif fall, you need to come here or maybe visit your daughter in Georgia. We have BEAUTIFUL falls here.

It's so nice for autumn to be in the air. That scone looks delicious. Perfect to eat when you're reading your new magazine about all things fall.

That is so funny. I ran out of breakfast stuff, so I went to Starbucks this morning and tried the pumpkin scone. It was sooooo good! I couldn't believe how tasty it was because you never know with scones. Sometimes they're dry or hard.

Gorgeous photos my friend! And we usually have the most spectacular falls but our leaves are turning dry instead.....don't know why. Talk about a new magazine, have you ever read BELLA GRACE? It's pricey but worth it. I think you should get a copy, get inspired, and then SUBMIT your photos and writing. They take bloggers' entries!

Autumn certainly is a beautiful time of year. The colours are simply gorgeous and such nice weather. I'm glad you like it so much. Where I am it is spring. It is so so wonderful. Life seems so much better with a bit of sunshine.

Here in the UK I enjoyed a walk yesterday afternoon and the leaves were crunching beneath my feet! Such fun!

Autumn has also arrived here in Germany. But it's wet and cool, actually a little bit unusual for beginning September.
