A dear blog friend showed us some of the culture and way of life in her country, and I thought it would be fun to show you a little of this and that about our state of California.

My daughter lived in LA for 6 years...I was there once. Well, technically she lived in Long Island and then on Signal Hill. I was there almost a month and seldom seen a cloud...think it sprinkled a little bit one time.
I love California! My son lives in the San Diego area. I have been up as far as Santa Barbara and actually made a stop by Port Hueneme Naval Base so I could have my pic made by the sign out front, since that is where I was born. I made it back there 49 yrs after my birth. Calif. is like a totally different world from TN...I love to visit but the green of TN always calls me home. Thank you for sharing....
We do love our California don't we... Can't beat our weather, so spoiled! Love the pictures Sheri.
XOXO
HI Sheri! I like the contrast of your photos. Mountains to beaches...head to feet...serious to quirky. It lets your personality really show. Have a grand weekend!

I enjoyed this post very much! My brother and his son have both lived in CA previously.
Enjoy the beach ....lovely week love Ria x ❤️
There is a lot to see. Wish I could see the redwoods and the Pacific. My granddaughter in Clovis says I should visit Disneyland! Thanks for the beautiful photos. Have a restful Sunday afternoon.
You do have lots there...lots of bragging rights! Love that cute flamingo! He would be right at home here too. Hugs!
What a great post Sheri. Sometimes we forget what we have here in beautiful SO CA.
I guess it takes company for us to get out and see it. LOL.
Your photos are terrific.
Have a super week - it's really HOT here.
Hugs,
Mary
I love California. My brother and cousins live there. You described it perfectly.
Hopefully, the people of California are as nice as their state. You're lucky to live in such a beautiful and diverse country.
Hollywood, with its glittering movie industry and celebrities, is probably the
place that most attracts tourists from all over the world.
What a fun post Sheri, California really does have it all. It could be a country all by itself! Much in common with Australia, especially the weather, and something very unique: Hollywood, which is like no other place on earth. What a great place to live.
Good morning dear heart! Yes, we have such a diverse country and it's home. I have lived in California, Massachusetts, Minnesota and for a short time, in France. Love it all.
Thank you so much for sharing wonderful views and news about your very beautiful state my friend!
You live in a lovely place with varieties of features and seasons.
My sister lived in Virginia Arlington for six years and told lot about its beauty and people.
These sights are stunning.
Poppy is a very pretty flower. Our state flower is Jasmine.
I am huge fan of Hollywood movies and Gregory pack ,Robert Redford, Robert de niro h,Alpachino ,Sandra Bullok,Magryn and many more are my favourite actors.
Your fashion is adorable. Loved the girls in beach !
California certainly does have it all. I have been twice, both times to San Fransisco and wine country. I enjoyed it a lot. The ocean and the redwoods...and of course the wine. :) I would love to go again sometime to see more of it. Have a great week!
This is a fun post, Sheri. I've visited your lovely state more than once and had the opportunity to see the north and the more L.A. part. It's a state I wouldn't mind visiting again and you showed lots of the reasons why!
Well, I am a Californian and LOVE my state but admit, to having a love/hate relationship with it from time to time. Not enough for me to leave. I hate our high taxes, & high gas tax especially! It takes a Californian to hate some things yet let no one else say something bad, or that's it. LOL.
California has been good to me but as we age and soon when my husband retires, I don't know how well we will be able to afford to stay. I worry about that at times.
Lovely post, dear Sheri, and gorgeous photos! Poppies are one of my favourite flowers, and I absolutely love the poppies in your photo!
California is beautiful!
*sighs of envy!* A fabulous post, Sheri!
I was especially impressed by the gorgeous landscapes... and the poppies.
Does Donald Duck have his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame? Oh good, Wikipedia says he has. I don't like Mickey Mouse nor do I know anyone who would like him. :D
Thank you for the lovely post!
Aww this is really good because I am going to USA soon with the family and our first stop is nothing else but LA :) Thanks for this inspiration Sheri, the more I want to see it.

Thanks for your good guidance of California. I have known about this city much more than the past when I made some trips in the books with Philip Marlowe. I love the beautiful blue sky and pleasant breeze. ( ◠‿◠ )
Beautiful post Sheri. I agree, California has so much to offer. Beautiful weather, sunshine, mountains, oceans, desert and more. You covered all of the bases. xo
Hola amiga querida, que disfrutes mucho calififornia ,, es una bella ciudad ,, bonito post
I have been to California a few times, not recently, and it seemed like a foreign country - in a good way. Tall eucalyptus trees in the boulevard, pastel houses on the hillside. It's an amazing place. And way warmer than Wisconsin. 😁
Once it popped my curiosity how a holywood city looked like, I don't know if I ever get the chance to travel far like in your State. And there you go sharing bits of your place. Thank you..it's just beautiful! :)
