The Scent And Taste Of Cinnamon

There is an Ashland candle collection at Michaels, and I noticed them when I was out shopping the other day.  One of the candles was a spice scent, with a hint of Cinnamon.  It had the strongest scent of spices that I've ever smelled, and I had to get it for my kitchen.

Every time I used to go over my sister's house, her kitchen was filled with the scent of Cinnamon.  She used to put the sticks in bundles, and would also take oranges and stick cloves in them.  Her kitchen smelled so good, I'll never forget it.

Sometimes I put Cinnamon in my oatmeal, which makes it taste even better.

There's starting to be a nip in the air early in the mornings, and it's finally getting cooler here.

Are you a Cinnamon lover like me?
Have a restful weekend,
friends.

I'm definitely a cinnamon lover but not for the scent (which is great) , but for its many health benefits. I take a capsule per day, whenever I get a bottle from the health store, which is not very often as I'm lazy about ordering items.

I love anything cinnamon and use it when ever I can in recipes.

I have kinda gotten away from candles as I can so afraid that I will forget and they will catch on fire. I have started using the candles that have the led lights in them.
They also have timers on them. I like the night lights that have a place for packets of difference smells. But I still decorate with real candles, only I don't light them.

Enjoy your weekend Sheri.

Hugs,
Mary

Sheri, I love cinnamon and its fragrance is wonderful. I imagine your kitchen smells great. I should go to Michael's and see if I can find this one.
I'm a wee bit jealous of the nippy mornings you are having. I do hope the same for us soon. We are having that hot and humid weather again, but soon fall will come in all of its glory. Have a nice weekend. ♥

Yes the smell of cinnamon reminds me a lot of my childhood, my mum made apple pies often always with the smell of cinnamon lingering in the kitchen.

Hello Sheri,
I love cinnamon, too. Cinnamon toast, cinnamon coffee. Sometimes I saute pork with it.

Hi Sheri, I do love cinnamon too, both in cooking and for the aroma. I associate it very much with North America where it is used a little more than Australia and often I smell it in shops.

Hot oatmeal, chewy raisin oatmeal cookies, Mexican chocolate, the autumn air in my mother's kitchen, an almost tangy sensation on my tongue, a sneeze from a small cloud in my kitchen when I make apple pie...this spice like all familiar spices and herbs, brings back my childhood. Yes, I am a cinnamon girl!!!!

I will have to visit Michael's and look for that candle. Perfect for autumn!!

I love cinnamon Sheri, the smell is comforting and the taste when added to ingredients makes the favor enhanced. A baked cored apple with butter, brown sugar and cinnamon is an all over sensory delight. The scent, the taste the memories.

I love the smell (and taste) of cinnamon, but I'm holding off until Fall to indulge. In the meantime, I'm loving coconut, my other fav :).

Love cinnamon in my porridge and baked sweet potato. I just use powder as it's easier to use. I think that's why I love Chai latte because of it :) Maybe a candle with cinnamon smells divine, got to look for one. Nice post Sheri!

I put a dash of cinnamon in our coffee every morning. Fall is definitely in the air and I'm in need of a new scented candle.

What a lovely post, my friend. I just love the photo of the leaves in the sunshine :) Can you believe today is the last day in August? My, where did the time go!

I enjoy a touch of cinnamon especially when I am baking. And I must say the scent is also quite enjoyable and reminds me of beautiful autumn days.

Love and hugs to you, dear Sheri!

LOVE cinnamon! The scent and as an ingredient. Thanks for sharing about the candle. I am a candleholic and love the fall scents! I like to use apple juice or apple cider in a small sauce pan or small slow cooker & add cinnamon, cloves, oranges, etc. Having that simmering is just delightful! I like to do the oranges with cloves too.

I love cinnamon, taste and smell! Esp the smell in the winter in the house. I usually put a pot of water on the stove, simmering with cinnamon and oranges in it.
