Spicing Up the Home for Fall

Even in sunny Southern California, the weather is starting to get a little bit crisper. Fall is here, and it's time to brighten up the home with some festive seasonal decor!

These three witches are brewing up friendly spells in my study. I thought they looked right at home next to my green curtains and these black faux flowers I arranged in the antique tea pot I use as a vase.

Remember this little ghost and his jack-o-lantern friend? He's been one of my favorite Halloween decorations since I was a little girl.

This year, the ghost is sitting on his familiar ledge in my kitchen with two other trick-or-treaters...

Last year, Jess and I made these paper pumpkins from old books. I always like adding to my collection of Halloween decor each year with a new crafty project. Any suggestions for this year?

You can learn how to make your own book pumpkins
by clicking here.

Every new season should be welcomed in with a cute Pinterest inspired chalkboard design!

And what autumn-inspired table is complete without a harvest pumpkin?

I'll be looking forward to enjoying my pumpkin-spiced biscotti with my coffee here over the next few weeks of fall. What a fun season!

PS - I love the paper pumpkins... I'm babying one idea for Christmas (as I don't decorate until then ;)) and this might just be the trick for what I want to achieve. Going to check your tutorial!

I don't generally like witches, but those are SO CUTE! Remind me of the witches in Macbeth, but lots cuter, I'm sure. LOL I love that metalwork pumpkin with the candle in the center. So pretty!

Love the candle with the 'Apothecary' label.

Because our family owns a very old pharmacy, begun at the time of the Civil War. So all-things-'Apothecary' catch my eye.

Autumn (fall) here in the UK is slowly appearing and its getting colder. Halloween is not such a big thing here (shame) but I love to see decorations!

Nel I love everything you have shown. The book paper pumpkins are über cool ... I'm inspired to make one. The witches so fun - their mouths - Sad, happy and stern, plus I really like that photo. Love the vintage ghost. Happy hauntings!

What a great post and I love everything here! You asked for a suggestion...how about cloth napkins in a Halloween or Autumn theme? I don't have a sewing machine and wish I did and continued sewing after I finished high school, but I just love to see what others make. I hope your day and weekend will be as wonder filled as your blog is. Thank you so much for sharing. :)
