Here Comes The Sun

Many people have this perception of California that the sun is always shining.  We get the rain, the wind, and the snow just like everyone else, but when the sun comes out, it's so pretty.  It's getting warmer here every day, and I'm glad to be living in the place that's called "sunny California."

song by the Beatles.

The rose shown in the
pictures above
was picked from my
garden.

I hope the sun is
shining where you live
today.

Your yellow rose is so pretty. What's the name of it? I have only five yellow rose bushes. My favorite it St. Patrick - starts out light green and then as it opens turns yellow.
Your roses are doing great. I know how much you love your red roses.
Our sun has finally showed it's face early this am. Has been cloudy and overcast almost all week.
Have a wonderful weekend Sheri and enjoy those lovely roses.
Hugs,
Mary

Sheri my friend, the sun is shining here as we speak. Ruben and I were in the garden ALL MORNING LONG, pruning and sweeping and enjoying the little wren who has her nest in our birdhouse. She was NOT happy that I was so close to the house but I had to prune there. AND double joy: my rose climber that Ruben planted right after my birthday has ROSES! RED as can be!

The sun is very special wherever you are. And this yellow rose, WOW! That is a color I rarely see here!

Enjoy your day my friend. Anita

The roses are beautiful. The color yellow screams sunshine everywhere. My mom grew up in California. And I have alot of family there. It is a wonderful place, indeed. You are so fortunate to live someplace that makes you so very happy. Enjoy every moment. You are so sweet.

Hello Dear Sheri. Your "yellow rose of California" is soooo lovely. Even beats Texas. (ha ha) Really pretty. I think yellow roses describe you nicely. Susan p.s. Thanks so much for all your visits, dear Sheri. Love them.

Sheri,
Your rose garden is thriving! Just look at the big beautiful yellow blossoms and I also spy some white ones. I knew you would have a green thumb with your kind, caring and nurturing disposition. Are you just loving having a gardening spot? I know Amanda is having the best growing flowers in the rich, fertile California soil. Of course the Beatles...as I was walking this morning I was listening to their melodic and familiar tunes.
Thank you for your friendship and inspiration to others, Sheri-you always brighten my days.
With love,
Jemma

Can those roses be any more perfect?? Such beautiful clarity Shari. You certainly have a green thumb to be envied.

We were just talking about the Beatles last night. I was saying they were my very first concert when I was, I believe 12, at Shea Stadium. Of course, I couldn't hear a thing with all the screaming! lol

Sheri, I spent my first 10 years in Southern California (desert where we lived). I didn't know what high humidity and green and rain in abundance were until my dad was transferred to Alabama. Night and day!

Your rose bush is gorgeous!

I don't know what I'd do without sunshine after living in Florida most of my life. Enjoy your summer, huckleberry friend.
