Jeepers Creepers

I was coming out of church and stopped to talk to a friend, and a woman came up to me and said, "you have gorgeous eyes.  They sparkle."  I said to her, "oh, thank you.  That is so sweet."  And she smiled and said to me, "have a nice day."

One day, while eating at a Chinese restaurant, I opened up my fortune cookie and it read, your eyes are the windows to your soul. That fortune cookie was special to me and I kept it for many years.

When I was a little girl, my mom used to sing this song to me, and through the years Jess has come to love this song as well.

What's the first thing
you notice
about someone....
their eyes
their hair
their smile?

Sheri, You do have beautiful eyes. I like that saying that eyes are the windows of our souls. I usually react to a person if they are smiling...but I like to see into their eyes while talking to them. Blessings to you with the sparkly eyes. xoxo,Susie

Oh Sheri,
You have such beautiful deep dark brown eyes. All of my children have brown eyes and all of my grandchildren have blue eyes except for one! "Eyes are the windows to the soul," as Des quoted. Eyes speak volumes, don't they...
Happy Tuesday-Love,
Jemma

I love Synchronicity. The lady talking about your eyes and the fortune cookie. It may sound cliche, but it's true... eyes are indeed the windows to the soul. Yours do sparkle and are beautiful, indeed.

PS) I loved the song too.

I first notice their eyes and then their smile. No wonder the woman said you have beautiful eyes, you do!! Your fortune cookie had a wonderful message. Thank you for sharing your story about your mother, and the tradition of a very special song.
Hugs,
Jody

First of all, I notice whether the other person smiles or looks friendly. But some people also smile with their eyes. It's nice that the person coming out of church mentioned this to you, this is very kind and not taken for granted. But she was right: your eyes are really sparkling :)!
Have a nice week, Sheri,
Barbara

Oh you've got lovely eyes,
own it. I believe that when we look in the eyes of a person we do not only see the beauty in their eyes but the feelings and moods of the person. So when I see sad eyes especially on kids and elderly it makes me feel sad inside too. But when I see someone smiling, no matter how small the eyes slanted because of the smile I feel happy too, yes even in just photographs.

Have a lovely day ♥

Your eyes are lovely! Never lose that sparkle :)

You certainly do have beautiful eyes. I always notice peoples eyes, then their smile, they show if they are sincere. These two things say so much about a person. Your Chinese fortune cookie was meant for you.

I don't need to see your eyes - great photos though  - to know they sparkle and shine.
Eyes are the mirrors of the soul, or so they say, and you have a clear bright and loving heart.
I really don't know what I notice first. In people I like or will like I believe is the all. And all that is unspecified if you know what I mean (did I ever told you that I had a boss and never really noticed the man had a moustache? It's not that I didn't know but for me the moustache was him, and a part of a whole. So one day I was mentioning the moustached future new President of the Company along these lines "oh well, it will be nice to have a man with moustache in the company" and I listen to my boss "aham" and I said what and in that moment it hit me, the future new president was not the first and only moustached men joining the company. I was working with the first on ahahahahah
I must have noticed when I meet my boss but with time it started to belomg to him, it wasn't a "feature" I would disassociate from the whole.
I'm not a very detailed person - and that can drive some vain people crazy because I might congratulate a "what? this old thing?" when it's time to retire the piece ahahahah.
Some people think I do on purpose but I don't. I only pay attention for detail if I need to. If something touches me beyond the paying attention phase. I would have - probably ahahah - noticed your eyes, after we met thousand of times and I needed to memorize that much loved detail.
Probably in the same way that lovely lady at church. She noticed and enjoyed your eyes - your kind and lovely soul - for many times and this time she wanted you to know she appreciated your light in them whenever you looked her way.
Going to bed now and I'll be dreaming of your beautiful eyes always being rewarded with kind words.
Love you,
Teresa

It's hard to hide your eyes they show your true self that's why I distrust people who wear sunglasses inside.

I LOVE THAT SONG! teeehee....and YOU, my goodness my friend, your eyes are this light brown that is seldom seen! I have dark eyes, but in the sunlight, oddly become very light...my mother had green eyes and their may be a hint of green in there somewhere!

I remember being shocked when my husband said I had beautiful eyes....I never considered them beautiful, especially coming from a family with green and blue eyes. Somehow "BROWN EYES" were not as special. But I think I've come to love a person's eyes no matter what color, because the eye is a miraculous thing. Color, shape and intensity are just a few things about the eyes that make them wondrous, but they say a lot about a person. Smiling eyes, eyes that look at you straight in the face when speaking....those are the eyes that melt my heart. And yours are fascinating. Let's talk soon? Anita

Your eyes are beautiful. But of course. They ARE you and they are the window to the soul. They are warm, loving, and radiant. And most of all compassionate.

Contact with the eyes of the people is very important, at least for me! And first I see the eyes of man so much they say ...
and in Bulgarian language is this popular saying - eyes are the window to the soul.

You have a wonderful warm, brown eyes! I love brown eyes, probably because mine are blue ... :)

What a sweet thing for the woman to have told you at church. It just goes to show we should let people know when we think something like that. It can make a difference, can't it?

I do notice someone's eyes immediately! And I've told perfect strangers that.

You do have beautiful, sparkly eyes! I do notice people's eyes first thing, in fact, I fell instantly in love with my Mr. because of his amazing eyes. He passed them along to my 4 children, too. I do think eyes are a window to someone's soul and you can instantly tell if someone is kind by their eyes. Especially if they have little laugh lines :) My Irish eyes are smiling....xo Karen
