Downtown Lights

My husband's project
shut down
this week because
of the rain,
so he's been off work
for a few days.

We took a drive
downtown last night,
and this song was
playing.  We thought
it was fitting for
our ride.

Silver bells, Silver bells
It's Christmas time
in the city.

Soon it will be
Christmas day.

Sheri, I have been thinking of you since hearing of the rains. Please be safe. I loved your pictures of town. Strange with leaves still on the trees. We are not used to that. I will hold your state in my prayers. I know the rain is needed but not all at once. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

I love the lights wrapped around the trees! And I've always liked 'Silver Bells.' It was one of my mom's favorites when I was a kid. It's such a beautiful song.

Love the lights. This weekend is the lighting of our memorial tree on the city square. All the businesses will be open til 8. There will be kiddie rides and arts and crafts. I can't wait to see!

What a gorgeous tree. Love the song. One of my favorites too. I saw Andy Williams in concert and heard him sing it.

Soo pretty and I am so looking forward to Christmas Day!
You know, I have such a vivid image of Christmas on main street in my home town with snow falling and silver bells playing on the radio.
Stay dry and safe, Sheri-

Good morning special friend....

I am late in replying due to a busy Friday afternoon and evening.

I just read your lovely comment and you are just SO KIND. First of all, Paris has a way of stopping you in your tracks and literally seeing life through rose colored glasses. Ideals, dreams, hopes is what Paris is constructed out of. The architecture and the food, the people in all their roughness and refinement are fabulous. Oh how you must go see her.

This was a fun project to join in with four other ladies who see the wonder. Have you visited the others? They are so talented.

Well sweet thing, what are you up to today? Whatever you do, HAVE FUN. BISOUS!!!! Anita

Hi Sheri, loved seeing this post with the festive decorations. Glad you are getting some rain out there, never seems to be the right amount, too much, not enough! I love Andy Williams voice, brings back memories of my own late mother... Years ago we visited Branson where he had the Moon River Theater and saw him perform. That was almost 20 years ago, and he was in his 60's but his voice was fantastic. Sad that he and so many others like him are now gone. My mother loved seeing the show and I'll never forget it. ~ Hugs for bringing back that memory again!
