Sheri's Thoughts

I was at the park yesterday sipping on my morning coffee listening to the birds sing, watching the summer breeze shake the trees, when all of a sudden a woman pulled up in the space next to me.  She was crying and looked very upset, and before I had a chance to ask her if she was ok, she lit up a cigarette, paused for a few moments, and was on her way.  I felt bad for her and thought to myself,  "why does this world have to be so complicated sometimes?"  I wish we could make life simple for others, I wish people didn't have havoc in their lives, and I wish we would exude kindness to the broken-hearted people of the world.

I agree 100%. I feel the same way about the world, but I also think this is why we are here:

TO FIGURE IT ALL OUT

TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER THROUGH IT

TO PROVE OUR CHARACTER.

It hurts, it's ugly at times, but life is that way.

I know. I agree dear friend.

(animals make me feel a lot better too when I'm bummed out!)

Poor lady. Makes me wonder what was going on in her life that caused such sadness. We never know the battles that people are fighting, do we?

How sad. What a difference a smile or kind word can make to someone's day. How often I forget that.

Life is so complicated and can be so heartbreaking at times. Thank God for the special people who take the time to offer support at times when their friends are in need of it.
Happy Wednesday!!!

Sheri, There are truly broken hearted people in the world. They can pray some times for guidance if nothing else. I have cried over stuff in my younger(hormonal ) days that I now think...what was I thinking. I remember ,long time back,my SIL worked at a mental institute. I waved at an old fellow sitting on a bench , my niece who had driven us there to pick up her mother after work, said to me,"oh why are you waving at that man, he's crazy." I said, 'You don't know, I might have made him feel better today, just by waving. " That is why I will wish people good morning, or smile at them , or wave....who knows when that may be just what they need. So we can always spread a bit of happiness. xoxo,Susie

I am hoping that your beautiful park gave the sad and troubled woman, "the one moment of peace" that she needed to carry on.

Posts like this in our sweet blog world are quite often carry on moments!

Happy Wednesday!

I love dogs! They are real friends, though silent! It is good to have such a friend! Worst moments in our lives are sad and unpleasant, but always after such period come good times and one more fully appreciates the beauty and the good side of life.

Life can be so complicated - that poor woman. Hope that her day got better. Why can't we just be nice to people? Some times just saying have a nice day will make a great day for them.
Have a wonderful day Sherri.

Hi Sheri,

Life can be complicated and you would feel for the poor woman - hard to see other people upset.
Yes, wouldn't it be nice if everyone could just have a happy life.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Hope you are having a happy week

Oh, dear, I can see how upsetting this might have been for you Sheri, as your heart went out to this woman. How sad that she vanished so quickly; perhaps you could have spoken a word to her, in your lovely gentle way. Blessings. xx

You helped.
You stayed silent and waiting making your position comfortable for her.
And the thoughts sent Heaven and put it in here will help her as Heaven won't decline such a simple request - Happiness - from one of its dearest child.
And if any of us will find the need - your readers, your friends, the oops how did I get here? visitors - we can count with the warmth and support and remember that we can lean on you. For a word or just for the supporting silence.
Love you,
T

Hello Sheri.

I love that you felt deep compassion for the sad lady. I'll bet if she had stuck around, you would have started talking to her and asking if you could help. I think you are that kind of a person.

Whenever I see something like that----sadness or a parent yelling at a child, etc., I say a quick and silent prayer for them.

Oh, how I've wished those same wishes for almost my entire life, dearest friend, so much so that I've developed a permanent heartache. Kindness is so simple, isn't it? Why most humans cannot embrace it, now that's the tough part.

You're a beautiful soul, Sheri. Although this lady vanished before you could say a word, she left you with a most valuable opportunity ...prayer.

You know, this kind of thing happens in the Underground and rather than starting a conversation, which I would never do because I'm obsessed about respecting people's private lives, I find that a gentle brush on the arm and a discreet smile on leaving the train usually seems to help a tiny bit. xx

oh yes Sheri..such a sad thing
this morning I was outside on my deck and heard a neighbor lady screaming at someone..maybe her hubby or teenage kids? who knows but I was upset..there are huge shrubs between us so I couldn't see..but when I see her ..we have talked across the fence before I will gently tell her my thoughts.. SHE can make up her mind to never yell (at her kids if that was the case) again..it can be done- I know (:)
It is only a harmful thing to a young person, especially..
hugs..Patty OH love your BANNER(:)

Sweet Sheri, how lovely it is to see your comment today during our blog party. The Netherlands is a special place, for there, a little mouse came to life on paper with ink, and a friend whose imagination runs wild, keeps my faith in art alive. Love to you dear friend, Anita

Dear Sheri,
Thank you so much for traveling with Bebe to Tuscany.. Yes, they are rose petals from my garden.

I know as a mom you worry about her in a strange country, but she will be just fine. I am sure of it. I can't believe she called and told you to watch the movie.
I love the Villa in the film.
Blessings to you

Thank you so much, dear Sheri, for visiting my Cotswolds dream! :)
How fortunate that your girls were able to visit England..perhaps they did venture through that area?
And for me as well....that tea room looks so inviting!

Oh, and thank you for letting me know regarding this sweet doggie...isn't he (or she) just precious? I want to kiss him on the nose!

Hugs,

Dear Sheri, it has been a long time since I stopped by, and I see you are not doing Anita's party, but I must leave you a comment on this loving post of yours. You really are a sweet woman, and I can see why your daughters adore you. Thank you so much for coming to visit me, and for your kind words. I usually disable comments as it is very difficult for me to leave comments on other blogs and it would be unfair for me not to reciprocate. But I'm glad I enabled them for this post, as we got to communicate again!
God bless you and your family.
