The tall cedar trees smell so good.
Do you know what this is? I thought it was so pretty, and it looks like some kind of wheat?
The dandelions and butterflies graced the forest.
This sign caught my eye.
Leaving Foresthill, we crossed the Auburn-Foresthill Bridge, and it is the highest bridge in California, and the fourth highest in the United States.
I always love my visits here.
Beautiful pictures! I'd love to visit this place some day. Signs fascinate me too, I take pictures of them very often.
Enjoy your day Sheri! :)
Oh wow these are some amazing views Sheri. Look at those awesome conifers!! And that bridge looks a mile high :)
Sheri, What beautiful views. I love to take trips like that. Just go and enjoy and then return home. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
Che posto magnifico...che foto meravigliose....complimenti
Buon inizio settimana e grazie sempre per i tuoi commenti dolcissimi
Un abbraccio cara
Stunning, beautiful.....I want to be there!! Suzy xx
I love picnics and there are some terrific places not far from our home and close to the beach, but still country like, but last year my kids social life turned them into Kardashians ahahahah.
We have that wheat like grass by the road here too. I find this signs so amazing. Imagine the little seeds traveling all the way above the Ocean until reaching your neck of the woods - the other day Washington Post had a graphic that showed that when I'm by the beach, if I swam in a line across the Ocean I'd cross North or South Carolina (depending where I'd stand) and then into Japan. Fascinating isn't it? I think so. Small World if you connect the dots.
But I digress... love your pictures Sheri. They show the serenity and whimsy with which you made the trip. And the smile.
You're an inspiration!
Oh how beautiful! The BRIDGE, that's another story. I'm scared to death of a bridge.
What a gorgeous place! And the plant looks like some sort of oats to me, but I don't know. Pretty, whatever it is. I'm not too fond of bridges either, but they do come in handy. :-)
What a lovely place, so sad it's too far to visit. Such beautiful captures of Nature and I don't know the name but I know it's a wheat.
That looks like the most idyllic place for a picnic lunch. The bridge is beautiful too but it would frighten me to cross it.
Gorgeous scenery and photos! Hope you have a good week:)

How magnificent is that bridge. I would be scared to walk or drive on it. Just the thought of how high it is makes me shiver.
But the winner is its surrounding, so peaceful, so serene so magical. Takes my breath away.

The bridge is so so high.
Great to be out in the country, with the smell of pines.
I think the photo is barley..but not too sure.
happy Thursday Sheri.
I grew up in Idaho and family picnics were basically a tradition in our sweet little family. We would always load up in the pickup and head to the mountains. These lovely photos brought back precious memories and truly I can smell the pines!
