So Much Good Food

I went to the Greek food festival with my son this weekend, and it was fun, exciting, and full of life.  I happened to see my two sweet nieces there, which was such a surprise.  I have always appreciated this culture and have been eager to learn about it.  I am so glad to be part of this wonderful heritage that goes back for thousands of years.

We walked all around and browsed through the interesting booths,

ate some delicious foods,

and I even bought a ring for myself.  This one caught my eye.

I have always thought that Greek artwork was so beautiful.

This was the best Greek festival I've been to throughout the years.  It was organized and friendly, and some of the proceeds went to my favorite charity.

Bom domingo!

Beijo! ^^

Sherri,

What fun! The food looks delicious, especially the desserts! LOL I really like the ring and the fact that it is blue is even better.

I had a girlfriend in high school who was Greek and Lebanese and her mother used to fix the best meals in both the Greek and Lebanese traditions. I especially loved the little meat pies and the spices she used in them with a touch of lemon...I could have eaten a ton of them!

I hope you are enjoying your spring/summer and glad you got to spend some time with your son.

Happy Memorial Day!

I love Greek festivals too, Sheri, the culture and the food. South Florida's festival season has passed. We have a famous Greek festival in October and all other festivals at the beginning of the year, when our weather is PERFECT. I love Oct-May.
Enjoy, my friend. Save me a Gyro. ;)

Hello dear Sheri! Good morning precious one! Thanks for stopping by again last night. I certainly will hit the Greek fest when it's here in July, and it's not too far from us. That's what I love about The Twin Cities; most activities are close by!

That photo with the little boy also hits me straight into the heart. How I would have loved to have a little boy. Ah......

I hope you have a great Monday. I am home of course due to the holiday, and I am going to rest even more since on Saturday, we really over did the gardening, but was it EVER FUN!!!!! Love to you dear friend! Anita
