What A Wonderful World
When my father passed away, our family, along with the support of many good people, set up a charitable fund in his name to provide clothes for low-income children in the school district. This last weekend, I went to the fundraiser dinner that helps raise money for the shopping that happens twice a year for these deserving kids. The night was fun, and it is our special community which makes it the wonderful event that it is.

What a lovely way to honour your father's memory.
Even though you and I live on opposite coasts, we must be kindred spirits. My Father use to donate his gently used clothes to homeless shelters. I do that and it's been ten years since his passing. And another thing: That is my all time favorite song! I always thought Louis Armstrong sang it beautifully, however, these kids are the best. Their hearts and spirits shine straight through to their faces! A great post.
Yes let us all have the heart of a child, open minded, honest and innocent. I never heart this version sung by children, I love it and it touched my heart.

How sweet! My daughter in law teaches kindergarten and it's unbelievable how many kids don't have the basic necessities. So sad.
