Nothing Like An Old Friend

I recently went to lunch with one of my very dear friends.  We have been friends since high school, but I've known Dana since grade school.   She has such a pretty smile that brightens my day every time I see her.
We are two flowers
of the same kind.

(This is me at the park).

"Let us always meet
each other with a smile,
for the smile is the
beginning of love."
~Mother Teresa.

Have a peaceful
weekend, friends.

What a lovely quote and it's true that your friend has a lovely smile. The friendships we form in school are very special and I'm fortunate to regularly see my high school friends to.

That was supposed to say 'too'!

How sweet. I can't say any of my friends from grade school - or high school for that matter - were true friends. I think the town I grew up with was too oppressed and void of any true love. So sad. I visited the school not too long ago with my Mom and watched people walk up and down the halls and it's no different today. So much poverty and oppression. So few successes. I'm glad I've moved on, but my heart breaks for those who can't.

It is so nice that you dedicate this post to your best friend. Friends are so important for the soul and therefore friendship must be taken very much care of ! I also have a friend who I know from the beginning of school until now :).
Take care my friend :),

SHERI!!!!!!!!!! I just got home a while ago, and couldn't wait to come back to talk. I had a feeling this was you at the end when I first came, but what I meant was that I wish I could SEE YOUR SMILE, in person! I wish I could hear your voice, and meet. I was fortunate enough to meet a few blogger friends and it was remarkable how close we have become. Oh my dear, love reaches beyond the miles. Thanks so much for coming by! LOVE! Anita

Sheri dear-what a touching post. You are so right about the history and richness of friendships. Both your friend and you have gorgeous smiles (love that pic of you). Your blog is always an inspiration. I loved your comment on stylemindchic about chic vs. chic. I'll be anything you want me to be ;) here's to the chics!
xx, Heather

Happy to hear this, Sheri. It's exactly what I've been encouraging myself and others to do more often these days, getting out of the house and having more face to face interaction with friends. I've read two books on this subject lately, especially a woman's need for friendship with other women even if we're happily married. It's a girl thing, we need to talk about the same thing over and over and guys don't really get that, even the best of them.
I echo Heather's comment..."here's to the chics!" =D
