This was an interesting place to visit.
The black tail deer are friends of the area. We met two mothers and fawns.
The Native American teepees made from trees.
The local town's Blacksmith Shop.

Such beautiful nature photos!!!
I really loved all of them!
You had great inspiration!!!
(But I really think that gold, still exists... in your soul!)
;-)
Enjoy your weekend, my friend!
What beautiful deer! And I love those teepees...never saw any made like that! What a great place to visit! happy weekend my friend!
But gold still flows my friend, from you.
Great memories!
This looks like an amazing place to visit. I love those wooden teepees!!
I've went to Sutter's Mill when I was a little girl. The deer are beautiful in your photographs.
It looks like a very interesting place! Thanks for sharing your adventure with us :)
Thanks for sharing! You can almost feel the fever (of the gold rush!), there are some amazing historical sites in this country and I never tire of discovering them.
The deer looked familiar though...cousins of ours I imagine?
Have a great weekend Sheri,
Sheri!
I have been having trouble leaving comments via my Google chrome!
I have figured out to sign in and visit via Internet explorer!
You have shown us beautiful places and enlightened us with wonderful California History. It's so nice to visit here!
Yes!
The world needs more sweetness and friendship.
Perhaps that is why I enjoy blogging so.
It's so sad, I hardly know my neighbors any more. Our neighborhood has many rentals now. People come and go and don't work outside in their yards. The landlords have professionals do the upkeep!
The best of love to you, Jess & Nel!

Oh Sheri~
This is so interesting and I so enjoy nature. You know I grew up on a lovely farm so many years ago and loved playing outdoors from daylight to dark!
Such a peaceful and beautiful State Park!
Have a sweet weekend, my dear!

This must have been such an interesting location to visit. So much character! Your photos are amazing. I am particularly interested in those teepees, they are quite something!
It's always pleasant to visit historic places and let your imagination take you back in time.
I love the deers and her fawns. It seem an ordinary sight for you but for us, it's a novelty to see them in the wild. We have kangaroos instead.
Hope you have a good weekend Sneri.
Good morning most beautiful Sheri!
It was so nice to see your comment this morning as I awake to yet another extremely cold morning. Thank you for always stopping by; your presence is of much value to me, more precious than gold....
I too love that photo of the bear cub smelling the flowers. You wonder if their brain also tells them that "this is a pleasure, these smell good" like the way we sense when we breathe in such fragrance! All I know is that God's creatures, both great, small, gentle and FIERCE bring me many joys.
Much love to you on this cold day, Anita
Love your photos. You have lots of fun traveling. And Sheri, you ARE sweet and I hope you never lose your sweetness. Hope the same for me. Susan
Yet another beautiful sight I have not been to.. Sutter's Mill.
I love the Native American teepees. They are wonderful!
Enjoy your weekend.

What an interesting post. I've always like to see deer as they are so majestic. A couple of years ago we spotted some wandering through our garden and it was Christmas time too - a wonderful sight! Those teepees are amazing! Have a good week!
