My all-time favourite books ? The Lucia series by E.F. Benson. So delightful I can pick up any chapter, at any moment. A gem of a saga of life and snobbery in England in the thirties. A real treasure !xx
No, no, no Sheri! I couldn't possibly chose just ONE book...So many titles and entertaining authors... But just for you, I have recently discover Marcia Willett...and she might just have done the impossible: enticing me to read (occasionally) contemporary novels! Have a lovely weekend Dear!
I don't read as much as I used to .. never seem to find the time.. I used to go to the Library often when I was young also bringing my children.. A favorite besides a magazine can't pinpoint one.. Have a great evening with love Janice
Oh yes, Jess, I am a totally dedicated reader. There are books (wayyyyy too many of them) in almost every room of my house. Oh yeah.
Now my little granddaughter is almost a year old and she is already developing her insatiable love of reading (coaxed by Grammie, of course. hee hee) Susan
I love reading, always have, and couldn't choose just one! I love biographies, all the classics, and books about art. As I child I devoured lots of Enid Blyton!
I love the Walt Disney quote. I enjoy reading magazines as well as books. It's so difficult to choose a favourite book but I suppose one of them has to be Le Petit Prince.
Of course! I'm reading all the time! :) In my childhood I loved "A Little Princess" Frances Hodgson Burnett. Now I;m reading many historical books for my job and I love newspapers too. Bye! marta
I love reading so much. I am always in the middle of at least two books and sometimes three (one old fashioned soft or hard covered book upstairs, one on my ipad/kindle, and one in the car for drs. appt, etc)
Jess, My favorite books to read when you were little was "Berenstain Bears." You loved them, and I still have those books to this day. I'll never give them away.
I just got atlas shrugged by ann ryand. Books are such a grt part of our life esp the way they let us into a fompletely new world is such a grter concept.
Hi Jess, love these images. I love to read, but my creative personality takes over so much that I become impatient and end up doing something else, typically inspired by the book. teehee One way I like to avoid that is by reading at the beach. Hmmm...I think I might just do that soon. xoxo's
Reading has always been my favorite thing to do. I love all kinds of books..novels, biographies, how-to...anything. I could take a stack of books and disappear from the world!
I am a confessed bookaholic. I love the look, feel and smell of real paper books as I'm about to dig in and enter another world. I've always had lists and lists of them but now Shelfari and Goodreads help with that! Are you asking for favorite childhood stories? I'm torn between Winnie-the-Pooh and The Borrowers. But I still read children's books so that part of my library continues to grow along with all of the others. Happy reading, Robin
