Her sister spoke at the funeral and said that Kris had the best attitude even up until the end, and made the doctors and nurses often laugh. She was only 43 years old. Her great grandmother came over and talked with me at the funeral, and I thought she was so gracious and kind. It was a sad day, but at the same time I got to meet the special family that is a part of this person, and I learned about many interesting talents she had that I never knew.
When I was out yesterday, I came across this bottle of wine. The label on it says Kris, and it has a picture of a hand holding a heart. I thought it was perfect, and someday me and my family will open it and celebrate Kris' life.
Let us embrace the people we love today. Their time with us is so precious.
Rest in peace, Kris. I will always remember your radiant smile.

It is so sad to lose loved ones, especially when they are still so young... You will keep Kris alive in your heart with memories... I lost two nephews who were 18 and 20 , so tragic... I think of them everyday... The wine will be perfect for celebrating Kris' memory. Take care...
Ciao for now...
Such a lovely day to be grateful for, and celebrate the life, of kindred souls that walk(ed) with us though Life.
May her House in Heaven be Pink, filled with Love and Laughter.
Take Care, Dear Friend.
Teresa
P.S. Sometimes I wonder why we feel those who departed so close to our minds, for days in a row sometimes. It's a song we listen, it's a flash we have of them in someone's manners or in something we shared and now somehow we need to enjoy by ourselves. Or so it seems. I never get that feeling immediately after they depart (and with some people never happens)... once an Aunt told me that they will "appear" to you (in those kind of situations) when their Souls finish crossing the Path and arrive to Heaven. Your cousin's generous Spirit must have gotten there really fast. They don't mess with the timing of generous hearts and joyful angels, I guess. Enjoy and whisper back, Sherri!
Dear Sheri!I know how it feels to lose a loved one!My fiance was just 30 years old. These wounds don't heal the heart never!Let us live to remember them!Today this wine reminds you of her, tomorrow it'll remind one falling leaves ...and so to the end.People who know how to love never die!Hugs!
Dear Sherri ,

Beautiful post. It's never easy to loose a family member, but it's especially hard when they are so young.
What a beautiful tribute to your niece, Sheri! I'm so very sorry for your loss. It's so hard to lose someone that you love. I always think that we never really lose them and that they are always near us even though we can't see them. I hope that she didn't have to suffer and that she went peacefully. I'm sure the angels are singing now! :)♥♥

That was so sweet, and clearly showed what a special person Kris was to all those who she knew and loved. It is always so hard for those of us left behind, missing the ones we love,

how brave of you to do a post like this ... hope you're ok.
I'm so sorry for your loss. It so hard when someone you love passes away. I think sometimes our loved ones communicate with us after their gone, and that bottle of wine might just be her way of letting you know she's thinking of you too. This post is a beautiful way to honor her memory.

Dear Sheri,
My heart goes out to you and I am so sorry for your loss. I believe some comfort came with finding the wine bottle and the message it gave to you. You are loved and she wanted you to know. Beautiful my friend.
Love and prayers, Celestina Marie
Sheri, when I saw the bottle of wine I got chills because I believe that was a message from your niece. Sometimes beautiful things like this happen and I think they are miracles from above. So sorry for the loss of your niece. You know my cousin passed away, well this week another cousin also passed away, so sad and so close to each other and close to the holidays. Hugs and blessings, Lu
