Two Frogs

As you know, I love poems.  From time to time, I will let you see some of my favorites.  Here is one of them.

Two  frogs fell into a deep cream bowl,
One was an optimistic soul.
But the other took a gloomy view,
"I shall drown," he said "and so will you."
So with a last despairing cry,
He closed his eyes and said "Good-bye."
But the other frog with a merry grin,
Said "I can't get out, but I won't give in.
I'll swim around til my strength is spent.
For bravely trying, I'll die content."
So on he swam until it would seem.
His struggles began to churn the cream.
On top of the butter at last he stopped,
And out of the bowl he happily hopped.
What's the message here.  It's easily found.
If you can't get out - keep swimming around.

Have a delightful week!

Fabulous message, darling poem, beautifully presented.

Sorry I have been remiss in visiting, but summer has been swamped with both business & family this year. Stay with me, I'll be back more soon.

Good morning sweet friend,

Thank you for stopping by my post last night. I truly believe that our lives are a story to be told, daily, as each day is a page, each month a chapter, each year, a volume. I want mine to be a page turner, a poetic work. Be well sweet one, and OH that photo of the boy.....that is a little French child, taken by a famous photographer that shot mostly Parisians and their daily lives....touching, isn't it? Anita

My Uncle wrote this poem many many years ago and it has been handed down through the years. I have a copy of the original one. His daughter has the original that he wrote on paper in his hand.
