Five Senses

I see the colored lights that adorn the Christmas tree.

I hear the sound of carols playing in the midst of all the hustle and bustle of the crowds.

I smell the scent of pine needles as I choose the perfect tree.

I taste the goodness of a holiday drink.

I touch the velvet ornament as I hang it on the tree.

Thank you, dear Lord, for letting me enjoy all the senses during your beautiful season of Christmas.

And Above All
Watch with glittering
eyes the whole world
around you
because the greatest
secrets are always
hidden in the most
unlikely places.
Those who don't
believe in magic
will never find it.

All the senses indeed...especially enjoying the fragrances of the holidays. They make our heart sing.
Thank you for being such a doll, Sheri. I feel right at home included in your blogroll. :) I'm honored.
Glad you liked Scholarly Bear.
Enjoy your weekend...don't forget to sing too. When I see your name pop up at my place I instantly think of your music here and I smile.

Dear Sheri, What a beautiful post. I am missing have a real tree. As much as the Silver tree brought me fun, it's the true live tree that touches the heart! I love the coloed lights, I also like all white lights..what I think is best is 3 tree's.! Tomorrow I attend a Christmas Tea and then a live Nativity..I can't wait..
The little girl in the photo with a magical snowflake has touched my heart! Nice...

You know you're livin' when you can finger that luscious velvet. It has always been my favorite of fabrics since I was a little girl and got a navy blue velevt purse with a white embroidered unicorn on it for Christmas. andrea@townandprairie
