A Yellow Kind Of Day

I had some flowers planted in my back yard.  There is an area in my garden that's bare, and I thought about which flowers would look best there.  And I decided on these.......

Today I went to the nursery to pick up some daisies.  They have always reminded me of my mom.  It was nice strolling around the nursery and looking at the different flowers for spring.

Yellow pots all stacked up.

A few fairies from the shop inside.

My mom used to love Barry White, and her favorite song that he sang was Can't get enough of your love, Babe.  She would dance in her kitchen to this song every time it came on.  When I was inside the shop browsing through the garden isles, this song came on.  I thought about my mom and could see her in my mind dancing in her kitchen once again.

Daisies......
such a cheerful flower,
and now they're
planted for you, mom.

Mine are blooming already and I just finished deadheading all my rose bushes. They bloomed so early this year. Looking forward to seeing the daisy's you planted.

And as you know, the daisy was MY mom's favorite as well. Lately, I've been crushing on yellow. Funny how I'm older now, but inside, it's as if I was born again in this life. Loving colors I've never paid attention to, seeing trees in bloom here that I swear I'd never seen before. Age is funny when you believe in God....you get younger every year.

GORGEOUS daisies sweetest Sheri!

Sheri, I love that your mom's favorite song came on while you were shopping for daisies. I think God let's our moms send little hugs to us that way. I was photographing the lilac I started from my mom's and a butterfly landed on it, at that very moment.. A smile from mom? I want to think so. Blessings to you, love you girl, xoxo, Susie

Daisies ( Marguerite ) are so nice to have in your garden, they look like sunny smiley faces even on a rainy day. One word of advice they spread really fast so you will have to keep an eye on them and each year be drastic and dig up clumps and transplant them in another area, or better still give them to your daughters to plant in their gardens, and eventually your friends & neighbours. Love the yellow glazed pots, did you but some? Enjoy your gardening.

Your Mom was probably signaling you that she loves the daisies! I do too ~ always have! I also have always loved Barry White and that song is indeed a favorite. I do feel that kitchens are made for dancing! :)

LOVE the photo you have of the red rose ~ just beautiful!

Good Morning My Lovely Friend,
These photos are captivating my sweet Sheri! You and I both just recently planted Daisies didn't we? My Mom had an entire flower bed of them in her garden and the bees loved them.
So, just for fun I googled what meanings the daisy has after reading your post and me planting my daisies and here it is and so fitting too.
Innocence, especially with white daisies with yellow or pale centers.
Purity – also shown by daisies that are as white as possible.
New beginnings, which is why they are often found in bouquets for new mothers or as gifts for children.
Enjoy your day my friend,
Love~
Jemma

I think your mom brought you to that nursery that day, and even had something to say about the music :). Speaking of which, I think your mom and I would have gotten along. I have to dance when I hear that song too.

Daisies are such cheerful flowers. Perhaps the most cheerful of them all. They signify new beginnings and purity, and it's easy to see why.

Happy Spring sweet Sheri!
