Simply More

Hello my friends.  I'm still working away at my house trying to get things organized.  I think I had about ten bags of giveaway.  When you have a big house and downsize, you realize how much stuff you accumulated through the years.  Some of you asked to see more of my new home, so ask and you shall receive.  In the master bathroom, I have a smoky grey countertop, so I thought turquoise accents would be pretty.

I love the holidays, and when I saw this six-shelf cabinet, I knew it would be just right for my holiday décor.

The flooring is a tan tile throughout the front rooms.

My new computer chair.  I love the design on it, and it's so comfy.

In the last four years I've lived in a couple different places, and although I loved the experiences that came along with it, it's good to be back home.  When I saw this trinket box, it made me smile.

I'm still unpacking, and I can't believe it's only been three days since I've been away from the computer and I miss all my blog friends.  I really do.  I'll come by and visit when I get a break, and it won't be long until I'm settled in.  I'm so thankful for my new home.

love,
~Sheri

Your move is a blessing to me, because my husband just received news that we may be moving to Denver!
I need to know how you have handled this transition, my sweet friend!

Your new home is looking beautiful and I enjoyed having a little peek.

It takes a while to settle in from a move, I know from past experience. I envy your downsizing. That's what we need to do here. But my hubby will have none of that. Such a shame. I am CRAZY for your sweet mermaid. She looks perfect in the spot you picked for her. ENJOY your new house.

First congrats on your new home, everything looks so beautiful. We've downsized 6 years ago and although I now think I need one room extra, we love our small home. Enjoy settling in!

Love,
B.

Good to hear that you are settling in and it makes such a difference once you start to add your favourite bits and pieces. Accessories make a house a home! The neutral print on the chair is lovely!

Sherry, I haven't been on the computer for awhile, so I didn't realize you had moved. We really want to work on downsizing also. I know you're going to love it.

Love the blue accents, and would snatch that chair from you if I could, Sheri! You really are settling in well in your beautiful new house (it takes me weeks to get all the boxes unpacked and away). One day soon we will have to downsize and move, and you are encouraging me to consider it as an adventure to look forward to. Hope to see more of your new place. xxx

Sheri, really loved the last couple posts about your new place. Your new home is beautiful! We are just starting to look around to get ideas about our next and last home. I would love to find a brand new place that is smaller and perfectly suited for our golden years! I look forward to seeing more as you decorate!

Everything looks lovely, my friend. Enjoy this special time. I started fresh when we moved two years ago, furniture and all, and the best part was getting rid of bags and bags of so much we had accumulated through the years. Simplifying is so freeing. I look forward to sharing this new adventure with you. Have fun!
