Things I Don't Like

well, you all pretty much know the things that I love, roses, chocolate, country drives, coffee, nature, but I never really mentioned to you the things that I don't like.  Here are a few of them.  (forgive me if they are things you do or like, they just particularly don't float my boat).

*  when people tail gate (I don't get it, it's dangerous for the car in front and the car in back).

*  having to buy the paper bags at the grocery stores now.

*  when you spend good money on coffee or desserts and the coffee comes back watered down and the desserts are stale.

*  gossip - it's a cruel pastime and hurts others.  And most of the time, the stories get mixed up or aren't even true.

*  calling a business or company, and you're on hold for half an hour and then you get disconnected.

*  lying - just tell the truth, how bad can it be?

*  fish - unless it's lobster or prawns, I'm not a fish lover.

*  traffic.  I'd rather be driving the road less traveled.

*  snippy and insincere women.  Women should give women a good name and speak with grace and compassion.

*  reality shows.  Are they really reality?

*  dusting.  I know it has to be done, but not my favorite chore.

*  chard - a weird vegetable.

*  lizards.  They're creepy to me, and I see more of them during the hot summer months.

*  when someone is on their cell phone standing in the line right in front of you and having to hear their whole conversation.  No thank you.

*  jealousy - why would anyone want to be someone other than their original self?

*  judging harshly.  We all make mistakes.  There is no need for unfairness.

*  high gas prices.

Well, there you have it.  If I think of any more, I'll add them to the list.  And if you have any dislikes, please feel free to share.

love you,
      i really do.
: )

I agree jealousy can be weird, over all a pretty decent list of dislikes, now we know! Greetings to you.

I'm not a fan of gossip either Sheri! It's so true most gossip is used to hurt others or the gossip isn't even true. I feel like instead of gossiping about others why not try to help the person if you can?! You're right gossip can be a cruel past time that I don't partake.

Me too!

Well, apart from coffee we are together with your likes and apart from fish we are together on the dislikes! It's a terrific list. My big pet peeves are the ones that are driving related, including going way too fast!

It's a fun post, I agree with you in almost all except that I really like fish ❤️❤️❤️
Have a great 1st day of Summer Sheri!

Great list of dislikes, Sheri. Most of them I agree with as well. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I'll just say I don't like watered down tea! If a dessert comes to my table stale, I'm complaining. Fresh fish is wonderful for me as well. Have a nice afternoon. ♥

I must say I agree with most everything you say, but I do like fresh fish...specially in the spring.

One pet peeve of mine is people that take up the whole aisle in stores, and never say sorry, or even joke about it...I admit I have done it before, but I apologize, and around here I will tell them they should just hit me and wake me up. Just a little smile or trying to think of others goes a long way.

Yes, I also do not like calling a business or company, and you're on hold for half an hour and then you get disconnected.

All the best Jan

My biggest pet peeve would have to be snippy, insincere women. I agree with most everything on your list except for fish. I love fish.

Such an interesting list, Sheri!
I too agree with you almost on everything, except for fish. I don't really know if I like it or not, but at least I adore salted salmon and smoked salmon. :)
Have a lovely weekend! We will celebrate Midsummer. The weather will be cold, but nature is at its best now.
Big hugs!

If a lizzard happens to get into your house, don't try to harm it as it is said to bring blessings.
I too hate calling a company/office, and hate personal cellphone conversations held in public. In fact, I'm not a great fan of phone talk in general.
Sadly, gossip and jealosy are human, but one should learn to monitor these traits, and apologize if someone gets hurt in the process.

That is a good list Sheri, and there are a lot of my dislikes there too. Tailgaters are right up there for me too - I wish everyone would stop trying to speed in traffic. Also stale cake and desserts - I think some places just keep it going until someone buys it, days after it was baked!
I do love fish though, and eat it several times each week. Happy mid-Summer day to you.

Good morning sweetest Sheri!

I agree with all of the above. I don't like dusting either, that's why I have very few nick nacks. I take a wet cloth to my furniture, swipe it down and BOOM, I'm done! Gossip....sick. Jealousy, dangerous because it distorts your vision of yourself as well. The cell phone thing, IT BOILS MY BLOOD, especially when you are trying to have a conversation with someone and they pull out their phone and start to thumb through its contents. GRRR!

Well my friend, I hope that the summer heat that's menacing the Southwest is NOT hitting you up your way. It sure isn't in my neck of the woods; I had to wear a jacket yesterday, it was so cool!

Much love to you dearest friend!

Good Morning, My list includes most of your dislikes! I had much rather take the longer, back roads and not be pushed by other impatient drivers! I don't particularly like fish. When I splurge on a dessert, I expect it to be fresh and delicious!
Wishing you a very nice morning.

I'm with you on the cell phone usage! I guess I'm old-school. I think it's so rude!

Enjoy the weekend Sheri ....love from me Ria x ❤️

Dear Sheri,

Great list of things you dislike, and I agree with most of those things too. Often you look around when out in the City and everyone is glued to their cell phones, waiting to get through to a business is another very annoying thing.
Wishing you a happy weekend
hugs

Hi Sheri,

You have me thinking that this is a great conversation topic when getting to know people. It reveals so much.

I agree with at least half of your list. I also don't think people should pull out in front of a car if it makes them slow down, just wait.

But lizards, eating fish I do like.

It is all so fun to consider.

Thank you for your lovely visit today and your kind messages. I so enjoyed each one.

lovely summer to you!

Great list, Sheri. I'm no more a fan of shrimp and lobster than I am of fish, though. But weak coffee (or tea) and stale desserts aren't going to go uncomplained about by me!

This would be my list too...kindred spirits.

Oh, Sheri, I whole-heartedly agree! I laughed about hearing the cell-phone conversations. Once, a woman in the grocery store was bent down next to me looking at some cans of food and commenting on the different kinds. I didn't see her ear-buds and thought she was talking to me! I kept up quite a long and strange conversation with her before I realized what was happening. Haha! Hope your weekend is only full of things that you love! Hugs xo Karen

I agree with so many things you've listed here. Gossip and lying being right there at the top. Gossip could so easily be replaced with discussing new ideas or something such creative and lying, well truth would make life so much more simple and pleasant for everyone. Enjoyed reading your list Sheri, look forward to come here often and appreciate the beauty of life through your eyes!

Hi Sheri, thanks for visiting me at A Grandma's Blessings. I have enjoyed reading your post and it looks like we have all in common, except for fish, I do like it.
I will be following and checking in from time to time.
Have a blessed weekend!

Proverbs 20:19 says...He who goes about as a slanderer reveals secrets, therefore do not associate with a gossip. I also believe that gossip is a way we judge others, which really isn’t our job. That goes into your other dislike of etiquette {or lack there of}, which has been lost by our modern culture. {I had a young girl be offended when I held the door open for her}. And our public libraries are just as noisy as the shopping malls. But we can rejoice in the fact that not all is lost. If we keep to our values then it will filter to the others we interact with.

Sheri,
I am happy you shared. I was thinking of doing a post like this as well.
I do not like people who tail gate, I get it a lot during my meals on wheels route.
GOSSIP ... sadly, it is very strong in a church I use to attend!!
Snippy women, oh my, yes!
Reality shows ... totally agree!

Thank you for sharing, oh and, I have never had chard.

Hi Sheri,

Thanks for visiting me at Delights of the Heart. Chard would have to be up there high on my list too. Smiling! It always grew wild in our yard in California when I was growing up, so my mother had it alot in her meal planning. I see you are in California. There are some things I do miss about California, but mostly happy to be in Oregon.
Hugs, Marilyn

I guess I never really sat and thought about what I don't like! haha....course if I did the list would probably go on and on. Like you, I can't stand someone who lies but along with that I can't stand someone fake. I am who I am, I don't put on airs, I don't pretend to be someone I am not. But anyway....I can relate to a lot of what you have on your list. Now I have to go look up Chard!!!! What is that? haha

Lol'ing at Karen's comment! Too funny :).

I could have written this list (almost) and believe me, it would have been a LOT longer ;).

Ditto to your list, Sheri, except that I love fish above all other meat.

Tick bites, chigger bites, mosquito bites, and worst of all a horsefly bite.

People interrupting me, like RH just did--hey, this is my list not his!

Root beer. Artichokes. Licorice. Mussels.

Bee Gee's music. RH loves it.

Mean people.

May your weekend be filled only with things you love, Sheri,
Dewena

This maybe an older post but I like reading this side of you. You can dislike the negative things of course, I don't like traffic too, lying and jealousy :) One thing I dislike the most is when buying coffee or matcha latte for me, only half cup is the content the other half is froth, so not honest. Love this post dear, it's relatable :) -Love, Mercy
