Just Because In May

There was a festival in my town, and I've always loved the ferris wheel, but as I get older, not so much.  Lots of flowers at the rose garden right now, and the soft pink roses seem to be my favorite.  My friend, Anne, loved this cinnamon streusel and bought seven boxes of them at the store, haha.  She gave me one, and it was soooo good.  I collect little trinkets - there's just something cute about small.   I've been eating lots of grapefruit lately, and I got the taste for them from my dad who liked them as well.  The birds are singing their song, and loudly, telling me that summer is on its way.  Not my favorite season, as it gets hot here in the summers, but it has its loveliness just like the rest of them.

What glorious photos...each one! And that little hummer perched in the tree...what a shot! I adore those lovely little trinkets and you have a beautiful collection of mugs too. Yes, summer is almost here...enjoy!

Beautiful Sheri! Love the photos. Not a fan of summer months either. The Fibro and age just makes it all so hard. I used to pick up trinkets when I went places. But for the last few yrs. I have collected key rings. They are small and easy to find. They don't take up a lot of space in the house sitting around! Oh...and I do rocks also. I will get a rock from where I visit and then I paint where I got it from and seal it for the garden.

Sheri, I loved all the photos. I like having little angels about my home too. Such a sweet cup collection. Great shot of the hummingbird. I can only imagine how wonderful the roses smell. The tiny camera trinket makes me think of a bracelet, my daughters' father gave me when we first started dating in jr. high.:) Blessings to you sweet girl, hope we do not have too hot a summer. xoxo, love, Susie

Good Afternoon Dear Sheri,
So lovely to catch up with you and your pretty blog. I can't believe that we are almost in June. The time has flown by and we have been so fortunate to have a mild May.
Beautiful photos dear one.
Hope your day and week are going well.
Love,

I'm like that too; as I advance in age I try to keep away from crowds, and festivals are all about crowds. However, now and then I get attracted by the theme of a festival and go to have a look, and if possible enjoy and have fun.

I love your pictures of flowers and birds. You've got the right 'chemistry' with Nature and this shows up in your photography.

Sheri, your photos are so outstanding! I love the birds and especially the hummingbird silhouette one. The sweet little trinkets are darling that you have collected. I'm with you when the summer gets so oppressive it's hard to enjoy the outdoors. I'm glad you are enjoying the special moments outdoors while it is still pretty! Your new header is just gorgeous with the white church in the background. Have a happy evening. ♥

Lovely images as usual. Summer is on it's way, we have had a few very hot days here on the south coast of England (the sun is not my friend!). I love trinkets to, there is something so wonderful in 'small'. A ferris wheel, I cant even remember the last time I rode one! xxx

I much prefer flowers, animals, architecture, food etc to fairground rides too. I'm really not into them! Lovely photos!

In summer, I like the sunset time. I can catch the cool breeze on skin having been a little sweaty.

What a fabulous series of photos, Sheri!
Fortunately we are not forced to choose a favourite because it would be extremely difficult. :) Well, the rose photos... they are gorgeous.
Thank you for sharing! xx
