The Symbol Behind The Rose

A friend of mine knows how much I love roses, so she sent me a list of some of its symbolic meanings the other day.  Here are a few of them.

HONOR

BEAUTY

FAITH

TIMELESSNESS

DEVOTION

INTRIGUE

LOVE

BALANCE

(these symbols aren't connected to the color of the
roses, but just the meaning of the rose in general).

I hope you have an
intriguing
rest of the week.  ; )

Just imagine back when the language of flowers, was 'spoken.' :-)

And the language of fans.

And the language of the handkerchief.

:-))))))

Hello Sheri,
I love Roses and their meanings and what they symbolize. There is a book titled "The Language of Flowers" I found it fascinating all the meanings and feeling behind flowers.
Have a wonderful day, ours is a rainy one.

Beautiful shots of those beautiful roses. You must spend a lot of time taking photos of roses.
The pink ones still steal my heart.
Thank you for your really kind comment on my recent post, it means a lot to me.

They're all so beautiful, Sheri! I think that Balance is my absolute favorite, but the others are exquisite as well. Just the perfect thing to see on a cold and very snowy day. xo

Good morning dear one.

I have two vases filled with white roses at the moment, and I guess the white means FAITH. Well, we all need that every day of our lives, so I will look on them and remember that prayer is the best way to start and end the day. BLESS YOU!

Sheri,
This post makes me wonder how your roses are doing?
I remember how excited you were to have a garden.
We have some little sweet rose blossoms on tiny little rose bushes and they make me smile.
It is nice to know the meaning behind all the shades of roses, especially with the day of love just around the corner.
Wishing you a beautiful day, dearest.
Love,
Jemma

What beautiful roses and the meaning behind them is simply lovely. When my husband and I were dating he would always give me roses and before he gave me a bouquet he would learn what their color meant and then share it with me :) Such thoughtfulness...

Have a wonderful day, my friend. Love to you!

Re: your comment in my No Snow post...

Yes, we usually do get snow. So this winter, mostly without any, is making me, a bit sad. :-)

Thank you Sheri, for your visit and telling me about the icon not showing.
I actually had tried about 10 times to share a lovely video my husband had taken of the huge waves coming in but for some reason it did not work, so just had to delete it.
Have a great weekend
