Precious Animal

The sheepherders around the area are given the fields in the city limits to let their sheep graze so the high grass doesn't grow and become a fire danger.  It's a pleasant sight to see in the spring and summer, where normally there would just be an empty field.

I've always had a soft spot for precious lambs.  They have an innocent look about them and always seem curious.

And here's the lamb's protector, always looking out for the big bad wolf.

Have a nice spring day.

This would be a beautiful sight to see. I have always loved sheep and lambs as well - even though you don't see them often here in KY for some reason!

teeehee......I love their faces, they always seem to be smiling. They are gentle, and it is funny in a way, how sheep are metaphorically used to speak about US, in the bible. Our great shepherd watches out for us to protect us, to herd us on the right path, to put his life on the line, for us.

Sweetness is always found here.

Sheri, That is a great idea to let the sheep eat the tall grasses. While in Jamaica , we saw cows tied beside the roads, they were weed whacking.LOL. Where there is a will there is always a way. xoxo,Susie

Lambs are so sweet, and sheep do make good lawnmowers.

The sheep are so adorable!!! Nice that they help with the grass to lessen fire danger. There should be more of that around here as our area can be so dry…
XOXO Mary

There is definitely something perfect about lambs and their beautiful coats and faces. Their mischievous play times. Sheep are such an amazing reminder of God's love for us- how sheep aren't the most cleverest of animals and often getting into scrapes but have their shepherd to bring them home! Wonderful reminders- thank you for this encouraging post today :)
