Another Silly Moment

I met my best friend, Darla, for lunch yesterday.  It was so funny, every time we meet up something bazaar happens.  When we were in line paying, my friend used her Target card to pay, and I used my Walgreens card to pay haha.  I guess we were anxious to visit and catch up with each other.  The lady said to me, "I don't think this will work here," and I laughed and said, "oh, it was right next to my card so I gave you the wrong one."

Jess, she won't be able to make the baby shower, so she gave me your gift with a book.  The wrapping is so pretty, sparkly pink.

We are asking for children's books instead of a card for the baby shower.   I think that will be so nice for Jess to be able to read these books to her little one.  And since she's a teacher, she can read some of them to her students as well.  Nel slipped this little note along with the invitation when she sent them out.

My friend sent me this picture of us back in the day.

Busy busy getting ready for the shower.  There's still a few more things left to do.  I'll show you some pictures of the fun day soon.

Sheri, I loved the cute invitation Nel made. You are going to love all the cute books . Wow, young lady, you and your friend with your smooth tanned arms. :):) What cute girls. Still are. I always show my CVS card at the grocery...duh. You know those discount cards. LOL Why do we even have to use them...couldn't the store just give us a discount for being there? LOL. Bl;essings to all of you, xoxo, love you, Susie

I'm looking forward to hearing all about the baby shower. That is a wonderful ideal about the books for baby!

You both are so pretty in your sundresses! And I adore that books for the baby are an important part of your baby shower for Jess! One of the best things you can do for a child and it's never too early to start, even in the crib as a newborn. I hope the shower goes well, I'm sure it will with you organizing it! Have fun!

Love the shower card! How great that will be when the baby is old enough for story time. I've tried charging at one store with another store's card..doesn't work!

ohh those macarons looks sooooo delicious and pretty! it's been a while since i last ate one. haha. also, that was a bit embarrassing, the card mixed-up experience! i once had a similar experience. Here in my country, SM malls are in every corner and i have this SM Advantage card with me which you use when purchasing at SM Malls. Then we were in Landmark Trinoma (not an SM Mall!) and at the cashier, I was giving her my advantage card! That was so embarrassing, I just apologized! hahaha.

Those girlfriend moments bring back such laughter, to the point of tears. I have a dear friend from way back in 10th grade. We weathered high school and college together, then we got married the same year. She is still out in Orange County, CA, and once in a while she'll come by my Instagram. It seems like yesterday when we laughed so hard one evening when I drove us to go spy on a guy I was dating. When it seems as if he saw us lurking in the night, looking in on his Karate class that he was teaching, he had turned toward the large window and beared his teeth like a mad and furious gorilla. I quickly PEELED OUT of that parking lot and my friend and I laughed so darn hard.....I still laugh.

I think that's a great idea to give a book instead of a card. It will go a lot further! Have a super weekend, BEAUTIFUL Sheri!

Oh what fun! We love books too! It's who we are! My little ones love for me to read to them. They are soooo busy, but never too busy to read. My littlest one is already memorizing books. My daughter started doing this at 18 months. Have fun!
