Heart Shaped Rock

A took a drive to Loomis this week just to get away from the surroundings here.  Loomis is out in the country more, and it was just what I needed.  It was nice to see the white blossom trees and the wide open spaces and spend some time in their pleasant town.

I thought this old building with aqua trim was charming.

Oooo, the pink blossom trees are already starting to bloom.

I found this heart shaped rock at one of the nearby stores, and it's turquoise like my kitchen.

This high school has always had a great football team, even when I was in school.  ; )

Best pizza ever!

This old pick-up truck was cool with the trees growing in back of it.

Loomis is a favorite place of mine to go to.  I'll have to visit again soon.

Sheri dear, spring already????? This is so early! I wonder if we'll have an early spring. All the snow melted yesterday because our temps reached above 32, so we had tons of water in the streets. I am going outside right now to see if I can spy any crocus trying to emerge! Have a super day dear one, and I love that little stone building! Anita

Oh Sheri, such lovely images of Spring! I like a change of scenery as well and you have chosen a pretty place! Your heart rock is a great reminder of God's grace that is given to us. It's just the right color for your kitchen! I collect heart shaped rocks and my grandson always finds one for me when we're together. Just natural rocks from nature. Have a lovely weekend, my friend. ♥

Sheri, My mother loved seeing the blossoming trees here in spring...she would long to have one of each in her yard. Love the stone building. Glad you had a day out to yourself..we need those at times. That truck with the tree is really something. Makes me curious. You do know if I were a cat, I would already be dead for my curiosity. LOL. Sheri I felt like I took the drive with you to Loomis. I've never heard of the town before but it sure is a charming enclave and oh that stone dwelling. The pick up with the growing tree made my heart pump faster, I love the unexpected and that truck is sheer delight. Our area has concerns over our Cherry Blossom trees. On Christmas Day it was 77 degrees and a warm December threw the trees in blossom. Fearful our beloved Cherry Blossoms will not bloom for 2016. Enjoyed this post.

Vera

The photos are wonderful, Sheri. And the trim on the window of the block building sure does cheer it up, doesn't it. I enjoyed this post so much.

Lots of lovely eye candy, Sheri. I found Loomis on Google, and now I know it is near Sacramento, and I can imagine you going there. What a pretty place - the pink and white blossoms of Spring, so early this year. And I always love an old stone building, and it looks so attractive. Happy Sunday Sheri. xx

Trees growing in a pickup? That's something you don't see everyday LOL

It looks like a beautiful place to visit. It's amazing to me that I grew up in California and lived there for 30 years in three different parts and I still don't know all the towns up in the north.

I hope you're enjoying your Sunday :)

hugs to you,
rue

Lovely pics and read! Love the trees in the pickup truck. I hope you don't mind, but I shared your lovely tree's in bloom pics on our team blog with a link back here to yours! I've also added you to our blogs favorite blog list. It was your post here that inspired me to post one for our Etsy team.

Warm Regards,

What a walk down memory lane today, lovely friend. As you know, I grew up on the top of a hill in Loomis. We had a house with a white fence all around the property. You can see it from almost every view in Loomis. The view from that hill was spectacular. Our home was on Wayland Road (off Val Verde) on the other side of the freeway from town. Your images of the blossoming trees, brilliant skies and green grass are so very familiar. How fun to see that you take a trip to Loomis to clear your head a bit. Have you been to High-hand Nursery and Cafe? It's a wonderful spot for browsing, a nice lunch and some natural day dreaming.
Love this post, Sheri!
