Just got home from my trip to So Cal to see the family, and I'm exhausted unpacking, washing clothes, and putting things away. I'll share more later, but here is a few pictures of Jess' classroom. She is getting ready for the new school year, and she did a nice job decorating the classroom with fun stuff for learning. I went in and helped her by watching Charlotte, and washing all the white boards for the kids - 25 of them! It brought back memories of when I was the class mom all those school years. ; )
Have a good week.

*This board was huge and placed on the school playground.
Welcome home!
ReplyDeleteDearest Sheri,
ReplyDeleteYep, those are the burdens of not being home for a while and having to catch up on all chores.
Both of us had to do that so often during our 1,500,000 miles in the air for work—not for leisure or vacation.
But the reward is still outweighing all that.
Love the be the nice kid writing!
Hugs,
Mariette
She did SO good! I love the saying on the chalkboard, and the cool tree branch she made.
ReplyDeleteDespués de hacer un viaje, siermpre te espera un arduo trabajo y se llega bastante cansado.
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo.
The excitement of the new school year is as true for teachers as it is for students. I hope she has a great year!

ReplyDeleteThe words on the big board are wonderful.
Glad you are safely home. I know Jess was very thankful to have your help...It takes a lot to get a classroom ready for the next year. My girls have taught school for close to 28 years now, but they have moved out of the classroom setting and now one is a High School Counselor and the other has her own office a small area as she is a dyslexia specialist. I'll be excited to see what all you did on your trip. Hope Jess has an amazing year this year.
ReplyDeleteYou are home safe! Yeah.
ReplyDeleteI love her room decorations - What grade does she teach?
I also love what the chalkboard says. I made a copy of that and I will send to Shaye and maybe she can use it.
And my favorite is the Flamingo cup - just makes you feel good.
Welcome home, sandie
Welcome Home, my friend. Thank you for sharing the pics of your daughter preparing her schoolroom for the new year. That brought back so many memories of when I taught! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI remember my teaching days and getting for the classroom! So nice that you helped her. Welcome home.
ReplyDeleteHi Dear Sheri....
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your daughter appreciated your help so very much. It's great to have a classroom look inviting and appealing to little ones. They will all be lucky to have her as a teacher. Take it easy getting unpacked, etc. There is no rush. Take care of you, too! Hugs. Susan
Welcome home friend
ReplyDeleteWhat a great time you and yours had! Getting help setting up the classroom takes more than one set of hands! My teenagers helped me a lot, willingly or not.
ReplyDeleteHi Sheri,
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to go see the kids! The classroom decorations seem to get nicer every year. I remember when I was a kid there were no decorations. Now they do an outstanding job. I love to see all the classrooms when I go back to school. Our school had an artist come and paint murials on the walls. They are so nice and well done! Hope you have a wonderful week!
Lovely words :D
