Last Move

I've always dreamed of living the later part of my years in the mountains, and this last weekend, my dream came true.  Me and my brother and sister-in-law searched for months, and my brother finally found a cute mountain home up north.  I loved being close to the girls in So Cal, and I got very close to the grandchildren, but the flight from north to south is only an hour, and I will make it a point to come see them.   I will let you know all about my trip and more about the house, but I'm still moving in and very tired.  But here is a glimpse of what I see out my front window.  I have been longing for the outdoors lately, and I don't have to hike on the trails to see nature because nature is my front yard!  The neighbor told me that deer come around from time to time right by my house.

I've always wanted to live in the woods, and this painting is dear to me.  It's a Thomas Kinkade, and I have kept it all these years to remind me that someday I will live surrounded by peace and tranquility.  It's supposed to snow in a few days, so I'll be sure to take lots of pictures of that.

  25. I am so happy for you to find a place to live that is where you want to be. I hope is all that you expected and more.

I had always wanted to live at this one place at home...it really was nothing more than a shack. And Roger and I did...but I kept thinking it would be a let down. Instead it was more than I could ever have dreamed. It burned down a few years ago, but until then, I would have taken it over any mansion.

  26. I am so confused!!! I thought you just moved to So Cal? Now you have made a second move up into the mountains of Northern Cal? Moving in March almost killed me so moving a second time that close would put me in the ground!!! Course I prob hold onto more stuff then you do. Can't wait to see pics of the new place. CONGRATS.....now you can work on making it your own. I have only seen mountains in Calif when I went up to Julian and to me, compared to ours here in the south, was nothing....but man, we have nothing on Palomar MT. in So Cal. I drove up that thing alone, going to the Historical Lodge on the top of that mountain in 2018 and not knowing where I was going, trying to look around and enjoy...it was wild and fun. Course if you don't know yet, I love So Cal. Its a totally diff world then here....again CONGRATS.
