I've had this recipe for homemade peach pie since I moved to Georgia two years ago.
Featured in Southern Lady magazine
With a few weeks of summer left, it seemed like the perfect time to try it out.
These tree-ripened peaches were so sweet and juicy. I had a hard time resisting the temptation to pop a piece in my mouth for every one I peeled and chopped.
There's nothing quite like homemade pie dough.
Oh my, how delicious!
A dollop of fresh whipped almond cream, made from scratch, and a sprig of mint.

It looks perfect! We sure ate a lot of peach pie when I was growing up in Georgia with peach trees near by!
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like a Georgia peach! We don't bother with peaches unless they're from Georgia.
ReplyDeleteAnd you're right, a from-scratch crust is so much better, even though I admit to buying them sometime. Just look at those juices peeping from your double crust! That one photo alone makes me hungry for a piece of your pie. I've never thought about adding almond extract to whipped cream but what a perfect combination for a peach pie!
Oh Nel. That pie looks scrumptious. Oh Lordy Lord, I'd have a hard time stopping from eating all of it! ha! Nice job! Susan
ReplyDeleteWow, this looks so delicious. It is making me hungry. I love peaches and I want to try this recipe. I'm not sure I will be able to do it so perfectly. Very nice post dear.
