December Days

Most of the trees
are bare now,
and the leaves have fallen
to the ground.

This mourning dove
landed on my
front lawn and stayed
for awhile;
didn't fly away quickly like
they normally do.

This wall in old town
caught my eye.

The town Christmas tree

The store windows
are all decked out for
Christmas.

I saw this sunrise very early
one cold December
morning.

It rained like cats and dogs
on Sunday.
Our power even went out.

My candle looks cool
with all the
lights turned off.

Nel's dog getting in the
Christmas spirit.

I'll be showing some
of the festive décor around
my house soon.

  3. Sheri, I loved the big tree in town. Don't you think the ground covered in colorful leaves is a picture painted for us by God? Speaking of which...that sunrise..I loved it. So golden yellow. Wonder what good old Abe would think of himself....rocking sunglasses. LOL Glad you are all into the spirit of this holiday season. Blessings to all, love you girl, Susie

  17. Dear Sheri,
I have missed so much... My computer was giving me trouble, all fixed now. Trying my best to get into the Christmas spirit..
I love that dove that landed in your yard.. So very beautiful.
And that TREE. You know what I thought when I first glanced at it? How in the world did anyone, even with a ladder, get up there to decorate it...
Your sunrise is breathtaking. We had a little rain, but for the most part it has been very cold in the evenings... Low has been 24 degrees!
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful photos...
    blessings dear friend

  26. Winter days and nights can be still be beautiful with the leaves piled up, and the chill in the air. I think seeing the leaves scattered around is lovely. I do appreciate a beautiful sunset and sunrise. The town Christmas tree is so pretty and festive. At least with the power off, we can admire the beautiful candlelight. Merry Christmas Sheri. xo
