Lingering Autumn

A lot of rain is supposed
to come our way,
so I'm enjoying Autumn
as long as I can.

  1. What gorgeous trees, Sheri! I'd hold on to it too. Heavy winds all day yesterday brought down most of the remainder of our leaves and rain all day long today, then 29 degrees low forecast for the weekend should make it seem like winter for sure here. But each season is beautiful in its own time, isn't it?

  2. Enjoy that Autumn leaf beauty!!!!!

The rains will take it away. Our leaves have come and gone. And we are really coooool.

    Enjoy your lingering Autumn beauty.

And then, we must find beauty in November! A wee bit more of a challenge, yes. But!!! We will do it!!! :-)

    Hugs, Tessa

  4. My, what stunning views, my friend! I can see why you're hanging onto Autumn :) When I look out the window I see snow and frosty trees...autumn is gone here in the mountains and winter is already making her presence known, but I love it :)

Thinking of you, sweet friend! Enjoy the delightful colors while you can. Much love to you!

  5. Sheri, I loved your pictures. Yes, hang on to all that beauty. It is starting to look like winter is coming here. The wind is fierce today...which I do not like.My hair looks bad enough ..LOL I know your state needs rain...I hope it is not too heavy but keeps raining and snowing in the mountains. The squirrel is so cute. Ours here are called red squirrels...more of a rusty color. Up north here in Indiana are black squirrels. Blessings for a great day, can you believe Thanksgiving is so close. xoxo, love you, Susie

  13. Sheri, you do have lovely autumn colors in your neighborhood! The squirel photos are so cute and the male downy woodpecker is so bright and cheerful. I know the rains will probably take your leaves down, but you have lovely photos to remember these special days. ♥

  18. It still looks like Autumn at your home, Sheri. Our leaves are all gone now- raked and hauled off for the year. Autumn always flees too fast for me. I love it. xo Diana

  21. Hi Sheri...I want to hang on to autumn, too, but now most of the leaves are gone. The afternoon gets dark around 4 p.m. So, I've started getting the itch to begin decorating for the holidays. Hugs. Susan

  30. Love the squirrel and woodpecker photos! I'm still hangin' onto autumn too, for dear life! We had flurries of snow yesterday, but so far nothing serious. Every day we can go without a huge snowstorm is one less day of winter, in my book. :-) Have a wonderful weekend!

  32. we had a lot of rain too , but todaythe sun is shining very bright and showing me my windows need to be cleaned :)
I am waiting for my granddaugther , her parents are so busy most of the time and I am here for her when necessary . I am so so lucky .
I often think about how my life was when my own children were young .
I was a stay-at-home mom BY CHOICE ! after being a teacher for many years I wanted to be a full-time mom . Ans I was able to !
I never asked my mother to babysit or have the children .
Now I see what she missed . Okay my mother lived to far away so the distance was a problem too but ....... I now know how joyfull it is to be able to are a part of my granddaugther's life . I did not gave that to my mother .
The generation of our children as addults is showing me a lot about life and living and making choices .
I am so greatful for all of that . I wish you and your family happy november days with lots of sharing .
